We were in the area and chose El Kero (restaurant's new name) because it looked so clean. I had churrasco steak, white beans and fried plantains. All three were delicious. After so many mediocre meals in Miami Beach, El Kero was a very pleasant surprise. A Corona beer was $4.00 and a meal for two with tip was $35.00. The... More

The name of this restaurant has changed to El kero. It's worth having the special of the day, they are delicious and cheap. The menu is big and full of Peruvian delicacies; I'm definitely coming back.

This is not a fancy place. Very basic decor, no table cloths, but clean. It was recommended by a Peruvian lady when we visited the Coral Castle in Homestead. She said the food was great...an understatement. The place started filling up shortly after we arrived at 7:00 PM. This place tops the charts. My wife and I both enjoyed Lomo... More

We went in for a Peruvian lunch. We used to go to the Tumi on 73rd Harding ave that unfortunately closed. The ceviche lacked of flavor, the tartar sauce for the Jalea was awful (If they actually made their own it would be so much better), the Chicha had way too much ground cinnamon (being Peruvian it was very unusual... Had the seafood platter with yellow rice whilst other people waited for their takeout. My girlfriend had the chicken. Good place, authentic food, to be recommended. Make sure you speak some Spanish, this is an authentic South American restaurant.

This is a personal experience, and should be taken that way: I went to eat brunch here at this Peruvian restaurants, the food was good for both of us. Not "Amazing" good, but for the value of it (2 adult meals for $31) it's a pretty good deal. I had just a couple of things that I was dissatisfied at... More

well, not the most beautiful or pleasant restaurant but: absolutely genuine Peruvian cuisine, extremely nice and attentive service, most customers Peruvian (does it tell you something?) and reasonable prices. There are a lot of Peruvian Restaurants in Miami and Miami Beach, but this ones is a real neighborhood place to go and meet friends with great food. Beer is Peruvian... More
