We had dinner there and it was wonderful. The food was delicious, service was great and you can't beat the music (Live Band) being played. A must place to stop and eat at.

Everything from the live music, the service, ambience, wine list and the food were fabulous! We had the crab cake and scallops to start with which were very lovely followed by two of the 1lb Maine lobsters grilled with garlic butter accompanied by a Caesar salad, fries, asparagus and truffle sweet potato mash (an eyes closed with pleasure moment!) all... This is probably my 11th or 12th time dining here. We go here because this restaurant is NOT like the others on Ocean Drive- hyper tourist traps, serving obnoxiously large cocktails, touting for business on the sidewalk. Immediately you are greeted courteously and professionally. This restaurant GETS service - quick greeting by your waiter, attentive service, and a gracious attitude.... More

Visited with my wife as she is fond of seafood. They had a three course menu for thanksgiving and it was super tasty. I ordered Crab cake , Shrimp Scampi and vanilla creme bulee. My wife ordered Shrimp cocktail, macadamia snapper and mariner bread pudding . It was worth every penny.Service was top notch.

About AVALON I just want to say that we chose it simply because it was the ONLY restaurant that we walked by where no "closer" jumped out to entice us with a story about 20-30% off on a meal if we ate there. I know that is a Miami Beach tactic to fill a restaurant, but it makes one so... More

Orzo paella for $85 meant to be shared by 2 people is very flavourful, though I'm partial to a red sauce based paella and this was a white base. The fish was all cooked perfectly. Surprisingly, this was actually the best key lime we've had on our trip - and that includes the Florida Keys! They have shavings of lime... More

On our last night in Miami Beach, as was was our wont, we wandered along Ocean Drive looking for a suitable restaurant. There is such a cornucopia of eateries that the visitor is spoilt for choice. I was struck by the delicious Spanish guitar music being played in this restaurant and decided to eat there. Despite the unpromising name the... More

We went to this restaurant last year and the food was just as good this time - delicious! But the service as a disappointment. We had made the reservation saying it was my 50th birthday weekend celebration and when we arrived they said "Happy Anniversary" which was not exactly right. That was not a big deal, but our waiter was... More
