What a charming little Mexican restaurant! We all enjoyed our meals and they were able to assist with gluten free requests. Our waiter was really great - helpful, and interesting to chat to.

Complimentary chips and salsa to start. The salsa was spicy, but fresh. My wife ordered guacamole to go with it. She mentioned she wished there was lime in it, but overall seemed satisfied. We shared the shrimp tacos. They seemed fresh and were good. We sat outside since it was nice out. It was not very busy, and the service... More

We ate here with several family members. We were able to eat outdoors where we could enjoy ourselves and not bother anyone else. Our waiter was terrific and made us feel right at home. Their portions are very filling and everything we ordered tasted yummy. It's in a good location and their prices were reasonable. Their building is rather unique.... More

Went here with a group of 7 and had no wait. Service was fairly average, portions were small but tasty. Kids meal had selections that were not Mexican, like corn dogs and chicken fingers, our kids liked that. It was nice that they had outdoor heaters as it got chilly at night. The kids had fun looking at all the... More

The fact that the entire place is wall papered in one dollar bills is not your typical Mexican restaurant decor. The fact that the dollar bill is one of the dirtiest things you can touch wasn't very inviting either. Its a VERY small place seating 10 parties only inside at a time. Chips and salsa are not complimentary like at... More

Stopped here for a quick lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of the food. I had the fish tacos, which were a perfect blend of flavors. My husband had the carnitas tacos, and he felt it was the finest carnitas he had eaten. Period. It is a unique looking local restaurant, well worth a visit.

The food was good. Very fast service. It filled up very fast. My boys had the burritos and got them "wet," they were very pleased with their selection! Fun atmosphere with dollar bills all over the walls... just ask for some markers to make your own!

Cantina Captiva is a nice, casual Mexican restaurant. The menu contains your standard Mexican fare as well as some less common items such as tamales. Salsa is fresh, the margaritas are good and the outdoor seating is very nice. Nice place for a casual lunch or dinner.

My wife and I went to Cantina Captiva with high hopes, only to be disappointed as we sat there sweating because they didn't have their A/C on during a warm evening. Our food was average compared to most Mexican restaurants we've been to, as we love mexican food. Prices are high for what you get. Probably won't return.
