Remarkably extensive beer offerings, High quality freshly made food, very friendly folks, they get a can-do rhythm to their service when the place is packed, Enjoyed the variety of live music and local characters over numerous visits.

Not only was the food amazing, but the first Saturday of the month (I think that's right) they have a great folk singer sponsored by their folksinger club! First, the food was way more in both quantity and quality than we expected from this unassuming little cafe! And the singer that night was Sol Ruiz - check her out!! We... More

The best Beer combined with a Great Vibe and live music. I saw and heard some Blues at Luna Star while having a Florida Swamp Ale. WOW!! This place holds about 50 - 75 people and has great hospitality and a large late night snack menu. I only drank beer and had a great time. Convenient to Northeast Miami-Dade County... More

Went to see a neighbor's daughter sing. What a great little cafe. Crab cakes are a must. Thnk crest pizza with dipping sauce was very tasty. Salad fresh (house and it was large) with a home made dressing was a delight. Bison burger was cooked to perfection. The food was definitely a surprise. There had to be almost 100 beers... More

I do not live in Miami anymore but when I did (2000 to 2004), I often headed to the Luna Star Cafe on open mike nights (usually the last Saturday of the month). Amateur musicians sign up to sign and get to play three songs. Most of the artists are surprisingly good! The atmosphere is very laid back, what you... More

I visited Luna Star at about 930 pm after a concert across the street at the Museum of Contemporary Art. This is a very small space, cozy and inviting. There were two people playing acoustic guitar and singing Dylan, and other folk artists that we enjoyed. We ate salads and crab cakes which were fresh and good, as was the... More

Luna is across the street from MOCA and it is the only place to get any food around dinner time. It is basically a poor choice. Although the service was great and very friendly, the food was mediocre and the menu very limited. Burger, sandwich, pasta. The salad was good,
