The servers were friendly. Nothing was exceptionally good or bad as far as the food goes. It was the first time I tried chicken and waffles. They were just ok, the waffle was a little bland. The decor reminded me of a 1970's place, and that's not a compliment.

I do enjoy eating AYCE anything. Spaghetti here is always good and it came with garlic bread! The fried squash was always amazing. Everything was to order and nothing was cold. I enjoy the atmosphere here, laid back country style.

Just good food, not fancy. Not noisy, pot roast and liver are great. Breakfast typical home type fare. We've always had the dinners so I don't know about sandwiches. I've been told by a longtime waitress that the Rubins and the Pork Roast dinner are the best.

LOVE all their food, esp. their fried squash. You can't beat their food, and prices excellent. Decor is not the reason to go here! Fancy it is not but if you want delicious food and to sit and talk without being rushed or a loud crowd this is the place. Real country cooking is hard to find :) I've been... More

Love the fried pork chops, buttermilk biscuits , fresh veggies and mashed potatoes. You get a belly full at Famous Amos.

This was our first time eating here. The service was good and the breakfast was awesome. They really load you down with food. I ordered the wagon wheel breakfast and it could have fed the whole family. I want to go back and try the catfish and fried chicken.

Stopped in this morning. This is my 4th visit for breakfast this month. This morning I was literally the only one in the restaurant. Ordered cheese grits ham and eggs. No cheese cold ham and coffee cup sat empty. This seems to be the norm for breakfast at least this month. Cause each visit echoed the last. Ashame this place... More

Southern home cooking that has been, historically, family owned. Fresh fried chicken, meat loaf, soups of the day, breakfasts, sautéed chicken livers, pot roasts, you name it. The atmosphere is much like the real country places I grew up with in rural NC: Local businesses put their cards on a cork board, the specials are hand written on a dry-erase... More
