This place took me back to the 50's and the food my mother made, pot roast, meat loaf, fried chicken, and mashed potatoes. Very well prepared, authentic decor, fun atmosphere.

With a walk into this restaurant, you are sent back in time to the 50s when it wasn't okay to put your elbows on the table, Mom yelled at you to eat your vegetables, and eating dinner in front of the television was a staple. The food here was delicious and my parent's favorite meal during our WDW trip. Mom... More

You are sent back in time to a 1950's family kitchen. Food is basic good fare -- fried chicken, pot roast, that sort of thing. My son got spaghetti and loved it. I had the fried chicken and ate all of it. Kids are expected to set the table. Mind your manners. Have fun here. Realize that it is all... More

The 50's Prime Time Cafe is good fun. Everyone sits in a little 50's type kitchen with a tiny TV. The staff treat you like a kid brother or sister. Some really good foods to try: Fried Herb and Garlic cheese; Fried chicken; and the pot roast. Also, do NOt miss the Peanut Butter & Jelly milkshake. It's absolutely amazing.

We love eating here! My husband always gets the fried chicken because it's so good. I chose the pot roast which was so generous and tender and I split with him so we both had chicken and the pot roast. So delicious! Our favorite restaurant at the Studios and always fun since the decor is the 50's and the food... More

We visited the diner for lunch. We loved how everything was decorated. When they call your name for a table, it took me back to when I was a kid and my mom calling me inside for a meal. Our waiter was hysterical and very good. We all ordered the fried chicken which was very good and a large helping.... More

We went for dinner and it was so fun! I got A Sampling of Mom's Favorite Recipes. It was good but the POT ROAST was even better!!! I wish I had gotten just the pot roast. It was so good and flavorful that it left me wanting more. The atmosphere was fun and the decor was neat. I loved everyone's... More

Having read that this was supposed to be one of the best places overall to eat at Disney, I was a little disappointed. The décor is cute and fully themed, which I loved. Our waiter was "meh" at best and seemed very unenthused about being there (he seemed embarrassed to be partaking in the "schtick" about being strict on manners... More

Our meal was just average. Our waitress was horrible. She didn't give us anywhere near the quality of service Disney World is known for

The food is excellent. Home style food. Atmosphere is great. The staff draw you back into the 50's era. The only bad thing was the seating. Every time we have been to the cafe our table is a small one in the corner. Not so good when celebrating your 47th anniversary. That's why I gave a three star.

The restaurant sits across from Echo Lake in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. The 50's Prime Time Café menu includes family favorites like golden fried chicken, traditional meatloaf and pot roast, cooked the way Mom used to make it—that is, if Mom were a 1950s sitcom star.Be welcomed into Mom's family and feel at home in her kitchenette. But Mom expects you to mind your manners, so don't be surprised if she tells you to keep your elbows off the table. It's all part of the old-fashioned fun and gentle ribbing that's served up along with the food.TV Tables and Tune-In LoungeFor a special treat at 50's Prime Time Café, grab a "TV Table" that seats up to 4 diners and has a television next to the table that broadcasts clips from popular prime time sitcoms circa 1955 including "Father Knows Best" and the original "Mickey Mouse Club."Bop into 50's Prime Time Café for lunch or dinner. Cocktails, wines by the glass and frosty beers are available from Mom for Guests 21 years of age and older, or relax in the Tune-In Lounge full-service bar and sip Dad's Electric Lemonade or Grandma's Picnic Punch. From the mid-50s knick-knacks and memorabilia that decorate this restaurant to the dessert menu displayed through viewfinder toys, nostalgia is the main ingredient at 50's Prime Time Café.
