Please do not go to this restaurant. They have no idea what they are doing and food was served so late. Missed few dishes from the order and nothing came together. Not recommended

This has to be the most overpriced, lowest quality Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at - anywhere. The food was bland, service slow, and overall it was a huge disappointment. And to boot it was extremely expensive for small portions. Stay away.More

We came on a Thursday evening and there was no one in the restaurant. That made us a little nervous. They seemed to have more of a take-out business. The restaurant is mid-sized and the décor is tasteful. Everything is clean and the place is...More

Had a take out feast with the family on a slow Sunday evening amd was told it would be about 20-30 minutes until ready. Seemed reasonable since only two tables were occupied. Unfortunately it took just under one hour for four dishes. Once home the...More

First of its kind in Orlando, India's innovative cuisine, the very name 'Dakshin' evokes opulence in taste and decor.

Dakshin introduces you to a cuisine from the southern part of India stretching from the rugged coastlines of Tamil Nadu and Kerala to the sun-drenched beaches of Goa and Mumbai on India's western coast. As spectacular and surprising as the country sides are, so are the cuisines of its many communities, which were confined by and large to family kitchens, until Dakshin, the restaurant, captured and showcased them.

Created from a wealth of local spices, red chillies, coconut, pepper and spices of the coast, the cuisines of the Tamilians of Tamil Nadu, the Malayalees of Kerala, the Bunts of Mangalore, the Portuguese of Goa and the East Indians of Mumbai, are a delight to the taste buds.
