We had brussel sprouts and fried cauliflower florets as appetizer and they were great. For entree we had chicken fried cauliflower "steak"and it was amazing. Wait staff were very nice and friendly. Manager, I think it was the manager, went above and beyond. It was...raining and me and my husband waited for a while for the rain to stop but it did not. She offered us to use umbrellas that had been left at the restaurant which was so nice. The best customer service.More

Reservation for two outside for an early dinner. Table spacing adequate for the pandemic restrictions. Happy hour house wines very good and reasonably priced. Ordered from Magical Dining, fixed price menu. Green fried tomatoes excellent. 2nd course was Brussels sprouts "molasses brined heritage pork chop"...with potatoes. Prior to ordering this dish waitress, Geri, was queried about fat or lean content, indicating dislike for fatty pork chop.No information provided by waitress. The only edible item on the plate were the potatoes. Brussels sprouts were sautéed with only outer layers cooked, interiors were essentially raw--not good. The very thick pork chop was riddled with fat.Not the kind that could be cut off and eliminated. Waitress had ample opportunity to warn me off the dish. I did not send the plate back, but should have. I ate the potatoes and shared my wife's dish. After letting the waitress know the problems, without directing any criticism toward her, service noticeably slowed.Manager came out and indicated he would adjust the bill, which was appropriate.Last item on the order, bread pudding was average. This is a highly rated restaurant claiming to provide Southern cuisine. I gave an average rating because the manager did the right thing. Based on waitress performance and quality of the food, I would give it a poor rating. This restaurant is in a very popular high trafficked Thornton Park section of Orlando. Street parking is scarce but paid parking is very close.More

We really felt like the food was stuff you could buy in the frozen food isle at the local grocery. The drinks weren't great and service was a tad slow, the food is expertly plated and it looks amazing, but not really worth what they charge....The staff, very nice, however, we would probably not, make plans to go there again.More

Best biscuits ever! Always good service and super friendly. Feels like visiting friends each visit. Great whiskey selection. Tonight the tuna was amazing. The chicken and dumplings are so good you will be tempted to lick the plate.

We wanted a special dinner for our anniversary but aren’t ready yet to go sit down in a restaurant. So we’re ordered take-out from SoCo. Even after transporting it home, everything was delicious! I had the fresh catch with almond crusting and hubby had meatloaf....He said the lobster mashed potatoes were really good. All the sauces were good, too. The cornmeal breading on the fried okra and fried green tomatoes was light and tasty. We also liked that that take-out containers are recycled paper. Even in take-out, the presentation was very nice and was easily plated at home. It was a good thing we didn’t order dessert, because we were full!More

Amazing takeout even in these times. Just enjoyed chicken and dumplings - not your mama’s. Fantastic! Like the plate kind. Yummy!! The mint juleps were fantastic, too! Glad to have this wonderful option even now. Great service and food was hot d and ready when...we arrived.More

Brunch at Soco was phenominal! We had the Chicken -N- French Toast which was amazing - the chicken was delicious. We also started with the Soco-Style “Chicken and Dumplings”, also amazing, plus you can't beat $15 bottomless mimosas. Our servers at the bar were awesome...and very attentive and friendly. The only thing that was so-so was the cornbread side which was a little dry. We will definitely be back! We went for a Sunday brunch about 12:45 and had to wait for spots to open up at the bar - I highly recommend making a reservation.More

Great service, food was good, but nothing exceptional. We were looking forward to try a more gourmet spin on southern favorites. Everything was tasty but we have tried better elsewhere, especially at this price point.

this is a fun spot for elevated southern food The location near lake Eola and Dtown is great, and the corner spot is good for eating inside our on the large patio. Food was great, and service was nice also. Try the make your own...old fashioned drink, and the bisquits and pork belly was great!More

After a long day, we needed a place to eat that was within close walking distance from the condo in which this restaurant is located. The food and the service exceeded our expectations. I wish I could remember the name of our server because he...was amazing. We were so impressed that we attempted to have brunch there the next day but they were booked until 2PM. Not surprising after our experience. We will definitely go back the next time we are in the Thorton Park area.More
