Carmen's is a small jewel of a restaurant that serves outstanding entree's such as Crab Cabazuela and Chicken Tiki Masala. The menu has gluten free, vegan and vegatarian dishes.Wonderful selection of foreign and domestic beer and wines. Service is always outstanding and if you sit outside you can watch the world go by on Palafox. And the outside seating is pet friendly.

Traveling and saw the #2 rating here and stopped for lunch on a Saturday. Located in the heart of downtown Pensacola, which really looks great and was bustling with activity. Serving only outside for now due to the pandemic (five tables on the sidewalk). We split the Masala chicken sandwich....very good! Also split the tapas goat cheese cheesecake with spicy blueberry pepper jelly....it was terrific! Waitress was super nice. Highly recommend Carmen’s!

This is a gem of Pensacola. One of our favorites. Eat outside, enjoy superb food and watch the world go by. It doesn't get any better. A small establishment with great service. We particularly like the Crab Cazuella and other dishes, like chicken tiki masala It's next door to Bodacious Olive which is a wonderful place to shop for gourmet olives,, olive oils and vinegar's. Carmen's does cater to special diet needs such as celiac.

We decided to have lunch here after looking at the menu. We sat outside, service was good. Chicken Tikka Ciabatta was tasty but not great and side of potato salad was very ordinary. Problem was with portion size of a "Plate and Pies " item. The Crab Cazuela consisted of about 3 tablespoons with a scoop of potato salad, NOT a plate portion but a small appetizer for $14. Call it a "Tapas" and I would not complain but... I don't know about the taste as we sent it back untouched.

Carmen's is a delightful place to stop for a quick but tasty lunch. I and a friend were just passing through and wanted to give him a quick look round the historic Spanish area of Pensacola. We parked half a block from Carmen's, gave them our names for the waiting list for tables, and wandered off. A half hour or so is all a walking tour of old Pensacola required, and on our return, we got the next table. Specifically, their policy is to go down the list; if the next name has gone walkabout, they get skipped and the table goes to whoever's just below them. Then, whenever they get back, they automatically jump back to the head of the list. A very good policy, because you get to wander off for a pleasant stroll and retain your place in line when you return. I thought the food was excellent: the Spanish Crab Cazuela was an appropriate entree for a restaurant half a few meters from Plaza Fernando VII, and the side salad with pipits was one of the tastiest salads I've had in a long time. This little gem is the perfect place to get a bite in old Spanish Pensacola.

Excellent food and service. Had lunch with family of 6. Had the open faced crab sandwich with horseradish potato salad, chicken tiki plate (has a little heat to it but excellent), chicken salad sandwich with side salad and chicken salad plate. Recommend the cranberry orange iced tea (slightly sweet and refreshing). For dessert, we enjoyed a crustless lime cheesecake with black cherry compote. Everything was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Get here early, or you will be waiting for a seat, and for good reason.

In Pensacola for the day visiting local museums. Found Carmen's nearby. Hubby and I loved the welcoming vibe we felt as soon as we entered. I had the Chicken Salad plate and Hubby had the BBQ Pork Plate. Both were excellent and we left nothing on our plates. Service was quick. Wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. Definitely a find in downtown Pensacola.

A small, cozy spot for delicious food a couple blocks from the History Museum. I loved the delicious pulled pork and had an awesome dessert of creme brulee. Several gluten free entrees and desserts are available. Service was fantastic and location was convenient for walking from the museum.

Save yourself some money and don't step foot in this racist establishment. Have no idea if the food is good, but the owner told us to sit outside in a rude manner, while there was hardly anyone in the place. Id rather eat my cats and dogs poop, that spend money at this place. hopefully a hurricane comes and tears this place down. i don't do forgiveness, so no point replying. If you are ignorent and a POS, then you need to go work at McDonalds

Delicious Chicken salad plate. Dressing was great. Friendly staff. Sit outside under the shade or inside at the bar on their tall stools. Great location with plenty of free parking and a walkable surrounding area.
