It doesn't get any better...

We ordered catering for a family get together...extremely pleased. Well put together order by exceptional service. Pizza, Salads, Ahi Tuna and Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Bisque, Beautiful Charcuterie Board, Pimento Cheese and Chicken Salad. Dessert and Slices of Cake to Top it Off.Plates, Tongs, Bread sticks and Plastic Ware included. Blown Away. 5***** across the board!

gone downhill

This place has gone downhill in the last year, mostly likely due to a management change. They've replaced the enthusiastic college kids with older women who call everyone "honey" and "sweetie." On our last visit there were three dirty tables adjacent to us, and no one attempted to clean them. There was ice and water on the floor near the beverage station, and when I pointed that out to an employee, she put out a "wet floor" sign and disappeared. When we left 20 minutes later, the floor was still wet. A slip-and-fall lawsuit waiting to happen. Last week we were in the mood for Newk's and drove 45 minutes to the one in Spanish Fort, AL. No problems there.

First time and last time

My wife and I wanted to try this out for about a year now and we finally did yesterday. Not impressed, small sandwiches and salads for fifty bucks. Not one to complain, just lesson learned. Staff is not very helpful and have to go find them if you need anything. Not sure how they stay in business honestly. Looks like maybe a lot of catering. Very disappointed we wasted fifty dollars at Newks.

Wife and I stopped in; i had a specialty pizza (very good) and she chose a chef salad. She liked the salad so well she sent me twice over the next two days to pick her up another to eat in the hotel!

Always great

I love the menu options. Half of a sandwich and a cup of soup. Two bowls of soup. Salad, pizza. You name it! The bar has the best sautéed garlic cloves and other options to add to your sandwich or salad.

Love the Cake!

Ordered take, pizza and a slice of strawberry cake. Pizza was ok, but by the time I reheated it was kinda droopy. Strawberry cake was really good. Next time we'll eat in the dinning room

Good food - needs to be cleaned

I have visited this Newk's on Bayou Boulevard 3 times. We enjoyed the Caeser, Black & Bleu and Cob salads. Salads were fresh & appealing, the meat in the Black & Bleu was a little tough. We also enjoyed the Italian & Chicken Salad sandwiches. I will return to the location however the place needs to be cleaned. Food stains on the fabric & dirty floors.

First Visit Because of Reviews

Took a few minutes to get the lay of the land so to speak. You walk up and order after reviewing the menu on the wall. They give you a number and bring the food to you. Nice clean place and very open layout. You can watch them prepare food easily. I had half sand and chix tort soup. Large portion for a cup of soup but could have had more chix. I think maybe they did not scoop deep enough but flavor was outstanding. Turkey avo sand was very tasty and decent size. Girlfriend ahd same soup but with salad. Greens and such were extremely fresh. Folks that was 10 bucks eac and cannot beat that. Staff was VERY helpful in answering all our questions being rookies. Will def be back.

First time here. Bbq chicken pizza was perfect size and very good. Shrimp salad was also very good. Nice clean, friendly and pretty quick place to eat. Variety of cakes to choose from also, Carmel was my favorite

This was my first visit here and I'm ashamed to admit it. It was so good. I ordered the the half and half options. I got the newk q and Mac and cheese. Omg that french bread was sooo.good. The right amount of crunch. The sandwich was delicious as well as the Mac and cheese. I cant wait to return and try other items especially the pizza. The restaurant is located near the mall. Very spacious parking lot. Very clean interior. A good seating area. Great flavors

Salad and pizza place

This is a good place to get a quick salad or pizza. You order at the register and the food is brought to your table. You fix you own beverages. My chef salad was fresh and tasty.

Great Place for a salad!!

If you are craving a big bowl of tender greens, chicken, turkey, hard boiled eggs, pecans and cherry tomatoes, then go to Newk's on Bayou Boulevard and order the Cobb Salad. Truly excellent time after time! Very reasonably priced and attention to detail make this a place to visit frequently. Highly recommend!!!

Very Nice Suprise

What a great Surprise. I had the Black and Blue salad and a pizza. All very fresh and tasty. I got the items to go and they had everything set up nicely. I will certainly keep this restaurant in mind on my travels.
