never heard of a raw bar till I ate at the Indian pass raw bar. Man the food was awesome. Service was awesome. Did I say the food was awesome. Had raw, chargrilled oysters, crab legs, and boiled shrimp. Oh man what a treat. Raw...bar as I understood had been in his family for generations. They sure know what they doing there for sure. Will definitely be back there to get my fill of delicious food.More

We like this place, and would give it a 5 star, but being a self serve it is hard to give it a 5. However the self serve is what makes it unique with a honor bar for beer and soda, including tap. This place...has been here since 1929. It’s simply oysters or shrimp, with a few American items. Go here for the oysters, steamed, baked or raw - or the steamed shrimp.More

The attitude of the employee with dark hair and glasses was terrible today...sat inside until we froze at the counter and ask to go outside to eat and was told no available tables...I just looked and there was 2. So we tried to stand and...eat outside at the bar and was told we couldn't do that...there was 2 tables available so we sat at one...the same one that was empty for the last 40 minutes...finally ate ..paid and left....this girl was very rude and didn't care about it...they lost us and all we know as we have been there plenty and always enjoyed the food.. TERRIBLE ATTITUDE SEE YA NEVER AGAINMore

They don't do take out orders. Sitting at the bar awaiting table service to then take out, I noticed most food be prepared is not fresh except the oyster dishes. They simply take food out of frozen boxes, place them on platters, and shove them...in heated slot tray commercial ovens. Despite having a barbecue pit outside there was no menu for that. The food we received was okay, but nothing special including the baked oysters which were mediocre. This is more of a bar heating up frozen food than a restaurant. But atmosphere was fine, and people seemed to enjoy the place. Be prepared for very long waits to get to a table.More

Mixed review due to service. Arrived at noon just as a female employee opened the door for the day’s service. No welcome, no smile, just looked down. Our first visit and there was no explanation of the process. Several people walked directly to the drink...coolers grabbing drinks. I stopped and asked the same female employee who opened the door if we ordered at the counter explaining it was our first visit. She abruptly stated pick a seat and we’ll come to your table then turned and walked away. So, we got a drink and sat ourselves. After a few minutes, a staff person came to our table and slapped down a pencil and two sheets of paper and walked off. So, one sheet was of the menu items—you check the box next to the menu items you want and take it to the staff person at the register who then places your order. The other sheet was for drinks where you mark each of your self-serve drinks. You keep this and present it to the cashier when you pay your bill. Big selection of cold beer and other drinks. We ordered the baked oysters and stuffed shrimp. Only two sides offered: small corn on the cob and slaw. We ordered the slaw, which was nothing special, not worth the additional $2. Both the oysters and shrimp were very fresh. The shrimp was excellent. I thought the oysters had too much dried Parmesan (?) cheese, which was a little over-powering and salty. Both dishes had generous portions and each included a slice of toasted Texas toast. Cute place, neat and clean. Just didn’t appreciate the attitude of some of the staff.More

Yes, we had to wait a long time to be seated for lunch. In the meantime, we met lots of friendly folks, only an appetizer for an amazing meal! Gumbo, stuffed shrimp, baked oysters, pie. Left happy and satisfied. Always stop here when staying in...the area!More

We wanted to get take out food for our last night in St Joe, but when I called was told that because they had a wait list, they couldn't do take out. So we drove up there and got on the list. We waited outside...because it was really crowded inside... karaoke was going on outside. Not really our thing - but they had some fires lit to keep people warm as it was a little chilly outside! We got a table on the screened patio, and ordered right away. We didn't end up with the same server for the whole time - it was a little different than what we're used to! We ordered peel & eat shrimp, stuffed shrimp, & baked oysters. everything came out at different times which made it hard to pack everything up to take home. Everyone working there was really nice. Food was good, but not as amazing as we'd hoped!More

We tried everything they had and loved it all. Liked the self service drinks and very laid back. Glad we got there when opened.

My husband and I arrived just as they opened. We have a 13 yr old, deaf, chocolate lab. We were told we couldn't sit on the small patio with her. We were told they don't allow food on their larger, music venue patio. We were...told we my husband and I could take turns eating inside. We are full time RVers. We have NEVER, in all our travels, experienced a dining establishment with patio seating that didn't allow pets. Needless to say, we left and won't be returning, with or without our pet.More

Best oysters I have ever had!! This game lace is a must! Some of the employees could be a bit nicer but our server was great. The beer in the cooler was ice cold, loved that.

It is very difficult, if not impossible, to get oysters from Apalachicola Bay. I have been going to the Indian Pass area for over 40 years and, whereas, it was possible to find oysters from the Bay in the past, these days... More
