We heard about this sandwich, seeing it listed on outside menu we walked down the lane, found the bar, ventured inside to the air cond room. Ordered Cuban sandwich to share and a cold beer each. The staff were very friendly. We chatted and enjoyed our stay

This is a very relaxing environment! Nothing fancy and that's what we wanted! The food was good-not fancy. In a city where authentic Spanish food, seafood and upscale fare is plentiful, it was nice to sit for a bit, interact with the waiter (Adam), give the wallet a break and laugh almost the whole time! (Adam was a hoot!)

We just wanted to get a quick bite to eat after visiting the fort and we wanted it to be at a local restaurant. I did not realize the restaurant name Heros referred to Hero sandwiches. I was thinking more about war heroes probably since I just came from the fort. At any rate, the menu has mostly sandwiches. They... More

Strolling around old city and stopped here for a quick lunch. Wonderful servers, lots of personality. Good solid food. Wonderful homemade Ranch dressing. Happy!

Been coming here during our summer pilgrimage and since we tried their Black Bean Burger and Black Bean Salad, we visit at least once or twice in the week that we are in town. Last summer they were renovating the kitchen so we couldn't enjoy our fix of beans, so we've attempted to make it at home, but it's still... More

The server was friendly and accommodating. The food was good, and it was convenient. We would go back if in that area, but we would not make a special trip.

The sweet tea was good. That's it. Our food took forever. They charge $1.50 to add cheese to the kids burger. Our appetizer came out ten minutes after we finished our lunch and they didn't do anything to make it right. Skip this place.

I can only assume the people that gave 5 star reviews either work at this place or their friends do. We went here this weekend and I don't even know where to start. Our waitress was really nice but she was very confused as were the other waitresses. Witnessed a waitress giving the wrong drinks to the wrong tables and... More

We stopped here for lunch after going to the fort and touring it. We sat outside and ate it was a beautiful sunny day. I had a Caesar wrap and my husband had a Cuban sandwich. Sandwiches were good and it was a cute out of the way place. The waiter was great and very attentive.
