I am not sure I understand the reviews on this restaurant. We are usually quite pragmatic when it comes to giving our opinion on places because we know how it can hurt the business but I could not really believe the dishes we had for a final 100$ bill on a lunch meal. The location is indeed beautiful, not question... More

Fabulous cafe in a unique setting. Absolutely superb food and service in the lower portion of the Lightner museum. Really worth a visit. Highly recommend.

Our lunch was delicious. The atmosphere was quiet and reserved. The piano music provided a nice addition. This restaurant is a hidden gem.

Had lunch with some friends a few days ago - it was great. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Panini, pasta, crepes, music, atmosphere, good server - what more could one ask for?

Went here for Lin h today for lunch in a cold day in Florida and looked for someplace indoors. Wow! I had my best lunch ever in St Augustine... blackened grouper (6oz) over flavorful rice with grilled red pepper, zucchini slices ABD asparagus. Outstanding. My wife had the curried chicken salad which was delicious and our fiends had the fish... More

We had lunch here. The young waiter did an outstanding job. They had a piano player who was terrific. We had soup and sandwich. Food was fresh, flavorful and well presented. The atmosphere was unique and relaxing. You are dining where there was once a rare, for its time, indoor swimming pool. We really had an enjoyable lunch. The entrance... More

The pictures looked great. The reviews excellent, Seems like a great place.... NO! Very disappointing, even with the owner sitting at the table next to ours. Although the restaurant has an interesting history by being a pool, that's about all it has going for it. The supposedly " gourmet " meal was mediocre at best. I will say our server,... More

Cafe Alcazar is a fine-tuned romantic hideaway. They do such an exceptional job with ambiance, food and staff. It's in an historic building and feels like you've left the country. I could have been in many places in Europe. They had a talented guitar player that was the perfect background music for an excellent meal and stellar service from Chelsea,... More
