Very very good pizza for Florida. Tested the square slice called Grandma's pie. I think that's the gauge by which pizza should be judged. Red sauce seemed homemade. Tasty if a bit too salty. Crust had a nice crunch. Has a different flavor overall compared...to NY/NJ but, again, very good for Florida. Didnt taste enough like fresh tomatoes. The slice cost $5.50. They only take cash. Right on main tourist street in St Augustine. Cafeteria style with decent casual indoor seating. Go weekday to avoid long lines.More

Excellent pizza slices! This place only accepts cash. Seating is very limited, and there can be long lines coming out of the restaurant at various times.

Speaking as a third-generation Italian-American and septuagenerian, I rate this pizzeria among the top non-wood-fired pizza places I've ever been to anywhere, in the US or Italy. We had caprese by the slice. The sauce tasted fresh and rich. The mozze and roasted peppers were...just perfect. The light yet crunchy foccacia-like crust was tasty and authentic. Other choices (particularly the mushroom and spinach) looked equally good. Setting very pleasant. Staff very friendly and efficient.More

Such great pizza! Went twice over a three day vacay stopover. Had spinach/mushroom, meatball Parmesan and Grandma’s. All great and would have again. Oh, and their sauce is to die for, def ask for extra!

Not #2 - not even 2,000. My pizza slice was $9.75 and a regular cheese slice is $5.00 and a small bottle of Aquafina was 5 bucks. Service was rude and cash only Don’t make this a priority stop

We used to visit here an absurd number of times each vacation but now we only go once each trip. The pizza is still good but the price of $10 a slice is just too insane and having to pay with cash when we like...to limit how much cash we carry around is an inconvenience. I get theres an ATM in the store but even so, there’s too much ATM skimming happening in the world today that i personally prefer not to use it.More

This place has the most delicious pizza! There are so many choices and it's difficult to choose just one..One slice is huge and more than enough for lunch. The line was long but it moved quickly. The slices are re baked in the pizza oven...and the crust is perfectly crispy. Definitely will returnMore

The manager was so rude. He kicked us out of the restaurant, because we had the pizza box on the table. The owner was so rude to me and my family

This pizzeria is rated #2 in the country. As a New Yorker, I am somewhat of a pizza snob. I review pizza based on three components; crust, cheese and sauce. At Pizza Time the cheese rates well. Any pizzeria using Grande Cheese has an advantage....The sauce was different than most places and our group found it off-putting. The weak spot was the crust. It was too doughy and not nearly crisp enough. So cheese scores an A, sauce a C and crust a C-. Overall it's on a par with any neighborhood pizzeria in the NYC area, but terrific for Florida.More

If you really want pizza, go elsewhere. If you are looking for an inexpensive lunch, this place is not for you. Costco has better pizza. The greek salad was far better than the overpriced pizza.

The pizza was just ok, not the #2 pizza in the us. We have had pizza in and around NYC and this does not compare and we could get a pizza for less in NY or NJ. Since all the pizzas are sitting out (who...knows how long) they need to reheat it. When they do that the bottom gets burnt and crispy. When you walk in, there is a sign that says “cash only”. And there are no prices listed for a slice or whole pizza. Buyers beware… ask for what the cost is for a slice. Anywhere from $5.50 - $9.50 a slice or whatever they feel like charging. So I hope you read this before you think about purchasing. I will not be returning.More

I gave it 4 stars but barely. I’d say just under for me. Ok..so I finally got to try this place with a group of friends & family visiting me. It was 6 of us. It was a Sunday afternoon around 1 pm. There’s claims...all over it’s the “second best pizza in the country.” Thats a bold claim. So it’s an obvious tourist trap so I believe a line is standard. There was a small line so we waited a few minutes. Here’s an initial problem right here. Recommendation to the business, very important, put a menu of your pizzas & their descriptions as well as your few other offerings outside with prices! That way, as it happened to us, the very second it seems you cross the threshold into the place, a guy immediately asks what can I get you. If you’ve ever watched Seinfeld episode with the Soup guy, kinda like that without kicking you out, but they will pass over you. Clearly patience at the threshold isn’t offered. I felt pressured to hurry my order without even being able to see all the offerings as the long 2 row counter display with pizzas & their descriptions don’t even start until you get inside and continue down. So I quickly picked 2 slices closest to me because that’s all I could see & read that quickly. Yes it’s also by the slice. And yes, you’re waiting in line to order first before you do anything else. Then at this time I notice the cash only signs. Cash is king so I’m fine with this as I know the importance of not losing this concept, but still good to know ahead of time to be prepared. Especially since each slice was give or take over $5 a slice without a drink. Drink options by way are sodas, bottled water, beer and wine. Everyday is 2 for 1 wines of their brand they offer. So then you move a few feet to wait for your slices that are put in the big pizza oven and then another guy hands them to you over the counter as you then move on a few more feet to the cashier to pay. After you pay, then you can find a table, which happily there are many tables and/or booths inside. Now…here’s the entire group’s issues and I take this very seriously. I’m Sicilian on both on my father’s side. I love pizza and we love cheese. I & we asked for the obvious very seriously important items to enhance your pizza eating experience which is pretty normal. So I thought. *First & foremost-a quality grated cheese-NOPE! HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE ANY GRATED CHEESE?!!!! *Second-Oregano-NOPE! *Third-(more optional for people) Garlic Powder-Nope! ALL they had to offer was red pepper flakes in a packet! How is this even possible?!! Never in the history of EVER in any Italian restaurant or pizza place do you not have these things or minimally GRATED CHEESE!!! I’m dumbfounded truly. This took away from our fuller enjoyment of the pizza honestly it’s needed. So bottom line, is the pizza good, yes. Is the crust good, yes. Is it 2nd in the country good, no way I can’t believe that. But-would I go back, sure, but I’d bring a baggie with my own grated cheese at least!! Ciao!! Expertise is I’m not from Florida. But live here now. I am from up north, been to NYC many times and I’m Sicilian who loves pizza. LolMore
