Food was great, wait staff was excellent. Indoor and outdoor seating was really nice. Just a bit cramped inside, so on hot days thank God for the fans. But there are absolutely no complaints about this little restaurant.

I enjoyed the tuna salad sandwich and my wife's almond fruit salad. Service was friendly and helpful. Though a bit pricey, you can't beat the ambiance and food. Though there may be other eating choices, if you stay on resort, this is a good choice.

We had lunch at the Flying Bridge and really enjoyed the great sandwiches. The location gives you a great view of the beach and also what is going on at the Tradewinds Resort itself.

Had some really good Grouper for dinner. So glad the waiter suggested my wife and I share the meal. More than enough for us both!

My wife and I enjoyed the food and staff at this restaurant while my wife attended a conference there. Linda and Heather were friendly and engaging and the two pigeons that joined us for lunch were great! We found a common interest in camping and Linda gave us great tips on Ft Desoto that enabled us to explore during our... More

Great place for a burger and Bahama Mama. Avoid the conch fritters. Too wet on the inside and the conch did not taste as fresh as I would have preferred.

Great casual place right on the beach offering a little bit of everything for lunch and dinner. The grouper sandwich was delicious and came with a HUGE piece of fish. The chicken Caesar wrap was tasty. The salad with blackened shrimp came with an entire skewer of shrimp -- I must have had 8-9! Great place!

We arrived at Tradewinds in the afternoon and enjoyed our first meal on fge resort at The Flying Bridge, service was excellent, food was good. They have a variety of drinks, wine and beer were reasonable. Frozen and mixed drinks were a little expensive, small plastic glass for $10.25.

Description
The Flying Bridge is quintessential Florida dining. From its origins as an authentic cracker cottage - the simple architectural style of the state's first settlers - to the fresh grouper sandwiches of its kitchen, the restaurant serves up an experience that you can't find outside of the Sunshine State. In warm weather, the restaurant's open-air feel gives you fresh gulf breezes and spectacular views of the beach with our meandering waterway running right beneath you. The all-day menu features a wide range of appetizers, salads, burgers, chicken and fresh seafood sandwiches. In the evenings, The Flying Bridge's extensive menu expands to include even more items, including fresh salmon, grouper, shrimp and other heavier dinner selections that you can enjoy while you watch the sun set over the horizon.
