Six of us had dinner at Red Mesa on 4th Street last night. February 25, 2017. We had a waiter that we feel needs some people skills. He took our orders for drinks, that was fine. He took our food order, a few questions were asked and he answered them. We had our dinner, and I requested hot sauce, our... More

Great food and sangria. 100 good things to say about this restaurant. Negatives are tables are closely spaced, rooms are loud, parking is tough (use the free valet). Waiters were having a squabble the night we were there. Still never miss Red Mesa when we are in town.

Last night (Wednesday) the wife and I ate dinner at the Red Mesa. At 5:30pm, there were quite a few people there, but we were able to get seated right away. We found out that they have some early-bird specials, which come with a drink, house salad, and an entree. I had one of these, the "Vaca Frita" (literally "fried... More

Interesting menu - They do not have a liquor license. However, between an adequate selection of beers, sangria, and blue agave wine-based margaritas, all is good. Try the margaritas - they are surprisingly good. Fourth street at about 50th ave N.

My third visit, with friends, was again excellent. The varieties of fabulous ceviches alone would bring me here whenever I visit St Pete. And the entrees often provide a creative treatment, for example the filet of beef with a rich ancho based sauce.

Red Mesa is a sleeper in an unassuming building on 4th St. It's worth driving from downtown or elsewhere to eat here! The menu is creative and it's easy to taste the love that goes into each dish! I've never had anything I didn't love here! It's spicy, fresh and a cut above restaurants in the same genre! Red Mesa... More

Love this restaurant. They have a great happy hour, love their sangria and margaritas. And their duck quesadillas are probably my favorite thing ever!!

Have been many times, mostly for work lunches. They do get very busy with the lunch crowd. Their Guac is fresh and great. I've never had a meal I didn't enjoy and all ingredients seem fresh. Note: it's a small space and gets crowded and loud. If this isn't your type of place, maybe avoid during busier hours. Definitely going... More

We drove over from Tampa to visit my two sisters who live in St Pete, and planned to meet at the Red Mesa. This is one of our usual meeting places, as the food is great and the service equally top notch. We arrive around 2pm on the Saturday after New Years, and the place was still full and busy.... More
