As a seasonal resident of Sanibel I know lots of people who had experiences when this restaurant first opened that discouraged them from returning. Come back! Everything is delicious, you can eat light if you want, and the prices are fair. No matter what else I order, I always get an ear of Mexican Street Corn. Delicious. The atmosphere is... More

This is my second year in Sanibel, and I'll be here every April for the forseeable future with family that have a home here. Experience this year was same as last year: it's a quirky place, and the food is excellent. It's a family run place, the staff are laid back and the vibe is laid back, so don't expect... More

We visit Sanibel annually. We have enjoyed this place previously despite the quirky hours and slow service because the Margaritas were so fine and the food so fresh . They no longer serve lunch .Its not easy to make a reservation as they don't often answer the phone and the website is gone and they won't check Vmm. I finally... More

We ate here as some in the family are vegan and then there is me. It's kind of a funky place. Not very large. Service was very friendly, though a little slow the night we were there as it appeared they may have been under staffed. Food was delicious. I had the seafood paella; very good. My wife needs daughter... More

Went on a Wednesday night with my wife and mom. First off, the parking is very limited and difficult. It took about 5 minutes to get a spot and maneuver into it. Oh well, not too big a deal, but others were equally challenged. That was my first opportunity to go somewhere else, and I should have. We were then... More

We reserved a table for two on a weeknight. This was our 4-5 visit in as many years. Yes, it is a bit of a pain to reserve because they only answer the phone during their business hours which are different than the ones listed on Trip Advisor and vary from their own website info. But, take a deep breath... More

We googled Mexican food in Sanibel and Fresh Taqueria seemed to be the only Mexican restaurant here. It is hidden from the road except for a sign at the road. You park two lots down from the restaurant. The food was excellent and plentiful! Margaritas were great as well. Chips do not come with the meal, you must order these... More

Excellent selection of beers and the scrimp tacos will not your socks off. Service is great and this eatery is a keeper.

We are vegan/gluten free and have challenges finding places to eat when we travel. We were thrilled to find the Fresh Taqueria on Sanibel. This place is best described as flexitarian-they serve all kinds of food including a wide variety of gluten free/vegan. We ate here twice. The food was excellent. The chef is creative and thoughtful. The food is... More

The staff, including the manager were unbelievably rude! I went to pickup my take out order and it was approximately double the price of what I expected. A gratuity had been added without telling me on the phone. I had asked some questions about the menu , including what fish tacos they had. When I asked why I hadn't been... More

Description
Fresh Taqueria has an eclectic menu that fuses Mexican Spanish and Southern cuisines. Our menu changes frequently depending upon what is available from local farms. We offer many gluten free and vegetarian options on our menu. Our food is prepared fresh daily sourced from local and sustainable sources. We are located in the red building across from suntrust on Periwinkle Way. Our parking lot is the third driveway west of the restaurant (the empty lot with our sign out front).
