Visited here for a light lunch where we liked everything about the place. Effective welcome, good service, wide and interesting choices on the menu, local craft beers and great food. Don't be put off that it looks a little bit like a big chain/franchise. Recommended.

We loved the ambiance at the old place and the service was friendly. Now the chef has changed and the food does not come up to their previous standards.

This is the only place to go for a meal in Sansibel (and Captiva). We visited this bar 3 times and usually in our experience, good service is very rarely this consistent. The bar staff are genuinely really nice, friendly & very professional. The food is absolutely amazing too - fresh, tasty and worth every penny (or dime !) We... More

Four of us recently arriving from Indiana again decided to visit this site at different location. Location and facility is greatly improved. I had the shrimp and grits. My wide had the seafood pasta special. My friend had the Mahi and our other friend went a different direction after having the wedge. Food was good with a much better open... More

We eat here often but the new site has some problems. We waited over 15 minutes for drinks and 30 minutes for food during our last three visits. Seem to have some kitchen issues getting food out promptly. Servers are friendly and good. Environment is beautiful.

We usually try to get to Doc Ford's every visit at least once for the beach bread, shrimp and mojitos. We saw the place going up and was not sure what to expect. It far exceeded our expectations. They kept a rustic, boat, beach feel, but very nicely done. It is also so much more spacious and open. The outside... More

New building broken up with 2 bars, 2 patios and 2 dining rooms. Food and service were both great. Prices were reasonable. This was a good evening out and a very pleasant experience.

Started our meal at Doc Ford's with the best Coconut Mojito I've ever had. Serving it in a Mason Jar was a nice touch. Our food was great. We had the special of the day which was a coconut crusted Grouper with Mashed Sweet Potatoes and roasted broccoli. Hubby had the Crusty Grouper Sandwich and Sweet Potato fries. Ended with... More

Sat at the bar because we were lucky to find two seats and the wait time was long. Truly enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Food was wonderful; beer is cold; life is good.
