Previously have only eaten at lunchtime here, but arrived shortly after they opened on a Saturday evening. Food was as excellent as always, but please be aware you would be better off making reservations for dinner service as the restaurant filled up so quickly and there was a wait line outside when we left . Love the vegetarian offerings here... More

I laugh as I type this as one of my fellow reviewers used exactly the same headline but what is not to like about this place. El Toro Bravo serves great Mexican cuisine. The food is great southwest style cuisine so a little different then your average Tex-Mex. My daughter found it a little spicy but no complaints. Make sure... More

This restaurant is small but results are big. Excellent service, outstanding, fresh food and good value. It is hard to get in as it is well known but worth the wait. They are moving to larger quarters this winter but we trust nothing will change in the quality of food or service.

Ordered take out, as I was wary of getting a table...and it was packed at 7pm on a Monday night, but no line. Had chicken Chalupa and beef Chimichunga, both excellent. Prices were very reasonable and delivery was nearly exact - 20 mins for a takeout order. Can't go wrong here.

You’ve seen, heard and experienced Harmonic Convergence. You’ve seen, heard and experienced the Polar Vortex. At El Toro Bravo in Sarasota, Florida you can see, hear and experience a vortex of Culinary Convergence. What happens when we take the best of Mexican-style cooking (am not talking about Taco Bell, here) and Mediterranean-diet elements (think olive oil) and serve it up... More

Awesome food. Different than the Mexican we are used to. Great service but get their early, people were having to wait on a Monday evening.

We spent four lovely days in the Siesta Key area and decided to stop at El Toro Bravo for lunch. We were not disappointed. Our server was charming and knowledgeable regarding the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and will return next time we are in town.

Growing up in New Mexico, I have searched for New Mexican style stacked enchiladas with an egg on top. I have never found them. This restaurant is the real deal. It has them and they are fantastic. Our friends ordered combinations and were surprised at the amount and quality of their dinners. This place is a hidden jewel. We were... More

Visited this restaurant in October while on a family vacation. We each ordered a different entree and everything was wonderful. We were even treated to a complimentary dessert for being first time diners. Highly recommend!
