Having lived in Az for 30 years, I'm searching for those Tex-Mex flavors I crave. We tried El Toro Bravo. Not the flavors I was looking for. The salsa was good. Chips- average. Chimichanga- strange- not deep fried. Just a burrito, basically. Server was very good and efficient. Fajitas- average. Guacamole- good. Doubt I'll go back. But, they are very... More

The wife claimed these were the best tacos(soft) she ever experienced. I imensely enjoyed my enchilada dinner as well. Judy went the extra mile to get us seated without reservations for Valentine's day. Lisa made our 1st experience a memorable one with her excellent service. It is customary to offer 1st time guests a special treat, so mention that you... More

We went here based on the good reviews. There were some negative reviews too but decided to be our own judge. It is a very busy place and very small. They are moving end of Feb and that will make this a lot better to get seating. My husband had Chili Colorado and I had #3 with choice of enchiladas,... More

We love El Toro Bravo. Friendly and helpful wait staff, which comes from the top down. Reuben and Connie have hearts of gold, love people and it shows. Any item we have ordered on the menu has been so delicious! My favorite is the Guadalajara. I love Hatch chilis and when possible they are part of the entree served. They... More

My grandparents discovered El Toro a few years back when they moved to Sarasota and have been taking me ever since. I now live in St. Pete and try to get down there as often as possible because it is a staple in my life now. El Toro is the best authentic Mexican food I have ever had and my... More

We eat Mexican food at least once a week. The food here is very tasty. Perfectly spiced for our taste. Wait staff is quite efficient and pleasant. We no longer need to search for a good Mexican restaurant.

What a find! We went after 8 pm and still had to wait for a table so reservations are recommended. But we only had a 1t minute wait and enjoyed a wine margarita (very tasty) and chips/salsa to occupy the time. The salsa was thick and tasty -not watery. I ordered the fajitas and it was outstanding. Lots of chicken... More

We had a party of five adults for lunch. I would suggest calling for reservations as the place is small, but the food and service was very good. Wife had the soft tacos w/ rice and beans and enjoyed it. I had the taco salad with chicken and it was excellent. Would definitely go back.

During the past couple of years a number of friends and neighbors have recommended El Toro Bravo, but the restaurant is located a tad far from our home for an on-impulse drop-in. With that said, one of our first restaurant visits in the new year was also our first visit to El Toro. Bottom line up front…. a very enjoyable... More

What a treat to visit this place! Small and intimate but growing and soon to relocate to a larger facility! Food is delicious, fresh and tasty, beautiful presentations, service is personal and attentive. My pictures don't do justice to these awesome entrees! Marguerites (wine based) are a true winner! First timers..... the deep fried brownies are outstanding.... we cannot wait... More
