One word can not describe this place. Our group tried several different dishes. I had the shrimp and grits. This was the best I have ever had. If you love scallops you can not pass them up here. They are the most tender sweet scallops around. We also tried their French onion soup which was amazing. All I can say... More

Some business colleagues wanted to eat after a day's lobbying. We are all from the hospitality industry, so standards are high. The service was really superb. The food was superb ( I had a steak - perfect). Other had desserts which they praised highly. I had Brie, which was just right. certainly will visit again.

Despite the occasional annoying continental pretension (i.e., no ice in the water), this place is a blessing to the old downtown. Serious gourmet fare on offer but your neighbor might be in jeans or a designer suit. There is a tasteful understated elegance about the place, a quiet confidence. If you remember to ask, dinner starts with a bread basket.... More

Four of us were staying next door for a conference and stopped in for a meal after a long day. All four of us were very pleased with the service by a knowledgeable server who was prompt and gave helpful suggestions. I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection with a delicious caper lemon sauce. Sides included were rice... More

Looked for a good place close to our hotel and this venue looked good. I am always a little skeptical when I come into a restaurant and it is not busy. It took a little while for our server to come, but he was nice and helpful. We had been traveling all day so we thought we would just get... More

We went to Avenue Eat and Drink for dinner after a day of long meetings. We did not know what to expect and all of us were impressed. The duck was superb! I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner.

I thought I was going to a wine bar, but their wine selection is very limited and the seafood in the dish I ordered tasted old. The bartender Stephen was excellent and that is the only reason they place received 3 stars.

Menu pricey and food just average. My entree arrived with cold rice. Waiter brought me a second serving of rice and while it was hot the taste was nothing spectacular and it was gummy. My son ordered a rib-eye steak but received a NY strip. Waiter returned with rib-eye but it was RAW - not medium rare. At this point,... More

We stayed at the hotel right next door and were looking for a close place to dine. The front desk recommended Avenue. I'm glad they did. The staff was very good. The food was excellent. The night we were visited, there was a large group sitting close to us. So loud it sounded like a frat party.

Wonderful experience for brunch. Service started rocky but I think that was because the hostess double sat our server. After drink orders everything went smoothly and they went beyond the expected service. No gluten free menu but a very adaptable menu. The shrimp and grits were delicious. The grits were just a tad under seasoned. But the shrimp were delish.... More
