We found this restaurant about two blocks away from our hotel just a couple hours after arriving in town. When you're new in town, it fills you with confidence walking into a crowded restaurant because you know it must be good. This small, cozy, trendy-looking...More

This is a cute little Italian restaurant in downtown Tampa. Limited menu but good food. It's small but cute.

I came here with friends at the end of a long week. it is a small place downtown and I would suggest reservations especially on the weekend. A lovely hostess sat us right at our reservation time. Our server arrived, took the drink order (...More

Unexpected treat may not be the right title because we had no expectations walking in other than they were very busy with a diverse customer base. We like to just cruise Central Avenue and eat wherever looks good at the moment. We immediately sat at...More

This was indeed a beautiful, tiny and quaint little Italian restaurant i Tampa. The brick walls and wooden floors were beautiful and gave a very intimate feeling. Glad we found it - on Tripadvisor! We wanted Italian and that's exactly what we got. The starter...More

I made reservations. Got a seat at the bar. Not a show stopper. I ordered the bruschetta and watched the guy from the back bring out the bread while the pizza cook put it in the wood-fired oven. I knew right away he took the...More

Food was good but the prices were shocking. They had an organic vegan salad that was delicious. The cashier was complaining to a coworker about her boss and how he wrote her up 3 times but he can't fire her because she is pregnant.

This is our second time visiting Bavaros and we were extremely disappointed. While we love the cozy atmosphere and our waiter was very nice the food was mediocre at best. Not to mention that it came out slightly above room temperature. I ordered the Italian...More

I was in Tampa on business with friends, and we chose this place on a whim. It is a relaxing place with a brick interior and soft lighting. We had individual salads and then shared a pizza. The wood fired stove makes the thin crust...More

The founder and Pizzaiolo, Dan Bavaro spent three years researching, training and traveling throughout the US and Italy to gather his vision and craft of pizza Napoletana. "Our pizza is thin and soft with a slight crisp to the crust while topped with the finest ingredients imported from Italy or locally grown and organic. Our food is an art form, which is prepared with passion as I was taught by fifth generation, Neapolitan families. One teaching the oven and the other pizza Napoletana." In addition to our Neapolitan pizza we have a variety of home-made pastas, soups and desserts which are made fresh on location and from scratch. Our ingredients are either imported from Italy or locally grown and organic.
