ALWAYS a great meal. The best steak sandwich. My son loves the Cuban. Only drawback is its a small place. You might wait a bit when crowded, but worth it

We miss the delicious food so much we visit each time we are in town! The best cuban sandwiches, chicken and yellow rice in New Tampa. Good service always.

If you talk to the Cuban owner you'll find he is delightful. The food is impeccable. The prices very reasonable. The atmosphere is cosy.

Real Cuban food .... authentic as my father-in-law would make. you could tell the food was home made and fresh. even the simple toasted (traditional)bead with the meal. . I had a great friendly experience and without any rush and the food excellent. All the food was good with original tastes I remember from abuelo's home(casa). lechon asado,(roast portk), black... Don't be put off by the strip plaza location as the cuban style food is excellent and the owner waits on you at the table. How can you beat that? This is very casual eating, but the various tastes are great and the owner's descriptions of the various dishes are perfect. Enjoy!

My favorite local Cuban sandwich goto! Try the Medinoche (aka Midnight sandwich, pressed all the way) Sweeter bread than Cuban and out of this world!

This place had such large portions and the food tasted fresh and delicious. I absolutely loved the breading on their breaded steak. Their stake with onions (biztec con cebolla) is absolutely delicious as well. This tastes like the food my mother and grandmother would cook me growing up so every time I eat here I am absolutely happy. The only... More

We experienced a long wait at another restaurant, so after a random search, this restaurant popped up in my Google search. I'm so glad it did! I had a party of 6 and we walked in about 30 minutes before closing (due to the long wait at the previous restaurant). We were immediately welcomed into the restaurant by the staff.... More

Las Palmas Cafe' on Bruce B Downs is a somewhat hidden gem in the Tampa food scene. Proprietor Ramses is there nearly every day, and takes great personal pride in his work. He has personally designed the majority of the dishes there himself, and his effort and attention to detail show. If he is there, he will usually greet guests... More
