Had a Groupon so wanted to try Venezuelan food. Very different from anything I'd had before. I tried the sampler which gave a wide selection. Their shredded beef was very good. The cheeses were delicious too. Corn "arepa?" was sweet. I enjoyed all the food. Place is cute, very clean, and the service we had was excellent. We were there... More

This was my first time at a Venezuelan restaurant, the place has nice decor, friendly service and is very clean. This is not fast food, food is served fresh and hot and it will take 20 minutes. 6PM was not busy but 7 PM was packed. Not many parking spaces for amount of customers. Friday and Saturdays they are open... More

We went here for a later lunch around 1pm. It was not very crowded and had to wait for more than 40minutes for the food. Two of the items came out wrong twice. The arepas were average at best. I was excited to visit this place since I live in Tampa and thought maybe it would be as good as... More

Amazing customer service and a huge selection of arepas!! I went on my lunch break and got the mini arepas, then came back with my son for lunch on the weekend and ordered the sampler platter...Great environment.

First time I've had Arepas and I thought they were excellent. We had an assortment of different options with beef, pork, chicken etc. I was a bit disappointed with the service. Once we were seated waiter and waitress completely forgot about us. I had to call their attention to order drinks, food and get napkins and silverware. Do note that... More

Stopped in here for lunch. The Arepa's were on the mark, but my favorite item, and the one that I will come back for many times again, is the soup. A huge portion, with squash, chicken drumstick, yucca, potato, corn on the cob, and a prefect blend of spices. Not too salty either, a nice surprise. The restaurant itself is... More

South American food is one of my favorites, so I was eager to try some authentic Venezuelan street food. We both had the Cachapa, which is a large stuffed, sweet, corn-flour pancake. The 'Traditional' is filled with a large amount of puffy white cheese. We got the 'Full Cachapa' which adds shredded chicken and beef, shrimp and chicken salad. In... More

Although Venezuelan food has similarities to Cuban food which is common in Tampa, the differences are worth the trip to Nico's to try their wonderful food. Being married to a Venezuelan I've had authentic food for quite some time, and when I took her here for lunch on a Saturday she confirmed that this is the type of food that... More

Truly unhappy with the service and food. They served me the wrong plate and gave me an arepa with shelfish which I am highly allergic to!! I had to drive 30 minutes to get my epipen and they didn't show much concern about me but we're worried more about the bill and the food consumed.

We were looking for a good place for lunch in Tampa while visiting the zoo and we found this gem!! OMG! This place is fantastic! The food was fresh, delicious and budget friendly! We will definitely stop in again the next time we are in Tampa.
