Revisited Rita's - Still looks bad to the point of falling down on the outside and the interior is not much better. Many of my friends love Rita's but I am not impressed with the look or the food and still wonder how the place passes inspections. As mentioned many love this hole in the wall.

This restaurant has closed. Food was good; went there for an anniversary celebration with some friends and they enjoyed the oysters. No matter.... a decent Mexican restaurant is there now.

It's now a very good Mexican restaurant I recently, reviewed. We tried Rita's one time. The shellfish was NOT cleaned ... Gritty and poor quality. I didn't eat after, trying 2 oysters & 2 clams. Just wrong. Bathroom was dirty, we were grossed, out.

My wife and I have been looking for a good place for oysters and I think we found it. We went to Rita's last night for the first time and we both got a dozen. I must say they were the best oysters we've had since moving to The Villages. They were fresh, large and cold, served on ice just... More

The restaurant serves Mediterranean style food. Some Greek, some Lebonese, and some American. We had the fried shrimp that was served with Greek potatoes, vegetables and garlic bread. Everything was good and reasonably-priced.

We eat here regularly. It's in a small strip mall. Friendly and clean with a neighborhood bar atmosphere. Mediterranean and Southern menu including American items too!

Foreboding from the outside, somewhat dark and tattered. Inside suggested a clean kept welcoming local beer joint with intriguing food offerings. Our server was attentive and engaging. Menu offers fried sea food..especially oysters, as well as interesting mid-Eastern dishes ("Greek" potatoes, savory garlic buttered steamed a welcome change from french fries). Vegetable side was tired, more exhausted, canned green beans... More

Reservations for party of 8 on a Friday night. Split decision. lobster sweet and tasty but smaller than expected for the price. Stuffed flounder, broiled shrimp and fried shrimp very good. Fried oysters excellent, fresh, tender and well seasoned. Sizzling rib eye good but not a rib eye, if you want steak better value at Outback. Greek potatoes not very... More

I'm picky about where I eat fresh oysters, and was encouraged to order after finding no "fishy" smell in the restaurant. The platter was filled with large, succulent oysters tasting as fresh as if they had just been harvested from their home waters of Apalachicola Bay. There was not a grain of sand or a bit of shell to be... More
