So glad I stopped in for a lunch. Turkey sandwich was delicious. Meat was moist and flavor of everything was well balanced. Server was attentive and friendly.
Went for breakfast this morning. Had the omelette. It was full of meat and delicious. It came with cheese grits that were wonderful and a nice fresh biscuit. Our waitress was very attentive. Definitely will return next time in Winter Park.
Winter Park has a quaint shopping area and the Briar Patch is right in the heart of it. I sat outside and people watched as I enjoyed my breakfast. The food was good and plentiful. I had a breakfast sandwich, which even came with grits....Both were very good.More
Our first time at this place, and it was really fantastic. Came for Saturday brunch and had the Carnitas rancheros and French toast. Both dishes were delicious! (There was plenty of food, and we shared). Did not have Mimosas, but they looked good, as well...as a lot of other dishes that passed by us. Staff was very nice, attentive and safe with wearing masks and keeping things clean. It is really a fun place to sit outside and people watch also.More
absolutely worst experience ever. been here twice, & decided to give them the benefit of the doubt to try it out again (had a bad experience the first time as well). the wait times are unbelievably long. regardless of the group size, if you’re planning...to eat & leave quickly, i recommend NOT coming here. you’ll need to have the whole day off just so your drinks can come out an hour after you order & your food can come out two hours after as well! & if your server is JESSA.. just ask for another server as well because she definitely can not handle a group alone, will never check up on the table & is extremely rude to customers. management/employees definitely need to be trained on southern hospitality because clearly this location has none.More
The food is good but the wait was kind of ridiculous. We arrived at 11:30 and didn’t get our food till 1:30 not even joking. The drink time took a good 30 mins- non alcoholic beverages. We didn’t get checked up on no one explained...to us how long the wait on food would be. We watched 3 tables of groups just maybe 3 less people than us get there, get seated, get there food and their check before we even got our food. Definitely won’t be back.More
I’ve enjoyed the occasional breakfast at the Briar Patch for over 25 years. The food here is usually quite good; entrees are well prepared and flavorful. The menu is a little quirky, for example, a typical breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon is only available...ala carte and costs approximately $20. Again, the breakfast is good but, from my opinion, not a great value. Please note, if you really like grits, the Briar Patch grits are very creamy, great for texture but dilutes the flavor of the grits. The service at the Briar Patch is very good, servers are pleasant and efficient. The food at the Briar Patch is good but the value is a bit low. There are other area breakfast restaurants that offer as flavorful food at a better value.More
We had breakfast at the briar patch and it was delicious. The portions are huge. Service was wonderful. The restaurant is adorable. Get their early - definitely a popular place to go. I have the soft scrambled eggs with avocado, my daughter had the French...toast with berries and my husband had the SW breakfast burrito. Make sure you go there hungry.More
