Whenever I visit Atlanta, I try dim sum, because it's fantastic chinese breakfast food. This restaurant had the widest variety and best quality food of those I've been to.
This is a fave! So many people say that Chinese restaurant food in the US is not like it is in China usually have not been to China. It's just what people like to say for some reason. Oriental Pearl is China Chinese at its best. The variety is a broad as is one's awareness of Chinese food. If it... More
I'm from the Northeast and the Chinese food in Massachusetts is very different than it is down here in Georgia. There are very few Chinese establishments down here that I like, simply because I'm accustomed to a different type of Chinese food. I had recently been recommended to this restaurant both from a television show I saw, as well as... More
I went here twice. The first time I went with my Chinese friend so when she had issues with her fish, she could talk to them in their language and settle the problem. The second time I went for their Japanese tofu, that is really good by the way, I had major issues with the servers. First, you ask for... More
Oh my gosh, this place is so good for Chinese seafood! I highly recommend the scallops. And don't be surprised if you can't get in for dim sum, the place is always packed! But keep trying - it's worth the wait.

Friendly service, good food and a fair price. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. However, they should spend a little on freshening up their restrooms. I... More
I was unaware of the Chinese tradition of a weekend dim sum brunch, but by the size of the crowd (mostly Chinese) and the wait for a table, it certainly is a popular thing to do! Friendly staff bring food trolleys to the table and patiently explain what each dish is (these are small "tapas" size portions) and are all... More
My girlfriends and I went to the Oriental Pearl for dim sum. I have never had dim sum before but everything I ate was delicious. Dim sum is where people walk around with carts and you literally pick food off the cart and they write it down on the order sheet on the table. Spring rolls, dumplings, wontons, soy bean... More
Great food, terrific service. We were here for an early dinner at 5:30pm The food was great and the service was great. It wasn't busy, so this may not have been the case if there were more diners, since there were only 2 waitstaff in this huge restaurant. We had a whole steamed fish and sparerib and bitter melon stir... More
