We stopped in Moby Dick on the way to see Swamp Gravy on a Saturday afternoon in downtown Colquitt at the recommendation of a friend. The salad bar was fresh and the entrees and veggies on the buffet were delicious. I highly recommend the crisp okra, sweet potatoes, fried chicken and banana pudding. The only thing is that I thought... More

While in Colquitt for Swamp Gravy, we ate at Moby Dick for dinner on a Saturday night. We had the wonderful buffet dinner with a full salad bar, sweet potato/baked potato, prime rib, two types of shrimp (fried and steamed), and two wonderful desserts. The place was very busy, but the staff kept the buffet full and clean. I was... More

I have dined here on a few occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed the friendly environment. The staff are courteous and prompt with service. The buffet was excellent and reminded me of my granny's cooking from my childhood. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family as you are assured a good experience.

Went there last night. Waited one hour after ordering, never got our meal, at the register, the lady asked for our ticket, I said we didn't have one, we had coffee, water and Cole slaw from the salad bar. She asked who was our waitress, the girl next to her said "I was, but I clocked out" the lady said... More

Moby Dick Restaurant has the best southern cooking lunch around! Also, their Thursday night shrimp special brings people from nearby towns within a 30 mile radius.

I have eaten the Sunday Buffet at Moby Dick on many occasions. The food is good Southern Cooking. They always have at least 5 meats, 8-10 vegetables, salad bar, and 8-10 desserts. It is all you wish to eat, including tea, coffee or soft drinks for $13.00. The employees are extra friendly and the food is consistently very good. I... More

We ate there twice in our 3 night visit to Colquitt. Everyone was happy with their meal. Salad bar is loaded with selections. Ate it one night for my meal. The fried catfish were very good for my second night. Several had the steak and fried shrimp and seemed to enjoy it.

Was over this way and not much to choose from, but found this place, and really enjoyed it. Saturday night is prime rib and shrimp buffet. Parking lot was full but restaurant is a lot bigger than I thought. Prime rib was right up there with more expensive restaurants. Salad bar not a lot of options, but quality very good.
