We ate there twice last week and loved each time. The food is full of flavor and the personal service is great!! Owner is the cook too!!!

I've eaten at Rio Balsas many times. It's hard to give an honest review if you've only been once or twice. I have tried the appetizers, and almost all the entrees. The Guacamole is AMAZING. Very Fresh ingredients! The tinga, skirt steak, and chicken burritos as so good! The Fish tacos pack a Big punch! Very good food. The restaurant... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Cumming. The food has ALWAYS been excellent and the Waitstaff has always been super helpful and patient. We have tried many of their entrees (all winners) and the Chicken Soup is always good for whatever ails you!

We visit Rio Balsas very often because the food is excellent. The vegetables are cooked el dente which makes my husband happy. The only thing that I do not like is the hard chairs.

Food pretty bland. I just had the veggie quesadilla. While it had cheese, broccoli, yellow and green squash, plus peppers. The guacamole on the side was pretty good. I just thought it was ok.

If your favorite "Mexican" dish is a burrito swimming in cheese and a generic red sauce, do not eat here. If you love "fajitas" that taste like salt and burned flesh, do not eat here. If your idea of a good taco is mushy beef and lettuce, do not eat here. If you like a variey of fresh dishes served... More

This yellow building hole in the wall you want to believe has that secret hole in the wall experience we all love to find. For me this was not it. The location is slightly out of the way but if your in the area easy to get to. The building is old but looked clean. The service was mediocre with... More

As other reviews don't let the outside fool you. We go to Balsas at least once a week. Never had a bad meal there yet. The Shrimp appetizer is awesome. Love the fajitas and guacamole. Service is great and always treated like family. Only bad experience we ever had was when they had air conditioning problems. Bit that has been... More

We stopped here after a trip to Amicola Falls. It was after the lunch crowd so the service was quick. Food was fresh. I recommend the fiesta shrimp tacos.

We went with friends because they love it. When we pulled up, I thought "What...?" We walked to the front porch to see the "outside dining" is about 30 feet from the hiway. We chose to sit indoors. The interior is almost (not quite) Mexican Cantina tacky. But, a nice selection of mostly Mexican beers. The menu had some variety... More
