If your looking for a quaint small historical town with lots of charm, Dahlonega, GA will fill the bill. A place to eat, if your looking for Southern style food and a lot of it, is Smith’s House Inn. Very friendly servers. It’s family style...More

Visited here with a large group of friends. We had all the usual Southern food, some of which was OK but some was fairly poor. Ham, okra and corn was fine. Not a lot of breast on the chicken and the macaroni was cold. The...More

Turkey roll, rather than fresh turkey, was a disappointment. Ham and fried chicken were good, as was the creamed corn. The rest of the meal was OK. Never again.

I think you responded to the wrong restaurant. We do not serve turkey roll. Turkey is not on our regular menu. The only time we serve our baked turkey and dressing is on Thanksgiving Day.

The Smith House serves awesome food. Fried chicken, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, green beans, turnip greens, roast beef, Cole Slaw, mashed potatoes. And of course, Sweet tea. It's all you can eat and served family style. That means you sit at the same table...More

We attended a rehearsal dinner at The Smith House on a Thursday evening. We have visited Dahlonega many times but had never eaten here. What a treat! Their food is the real southern thing! We passed around heaping bowls and platters of food - ham,...More

The servers are so friendly and keep bringing out the food until you are stuffed. Collards, chicken and corn with real lemonade were particularly excellent. The pot roast and mashed potatoes were also delicious, and the price is very reasonable. We were staying in the...More

No, there is not a pool. I wouldn't call the Smith House a resort. It is part of the history of Dahlonega. Located right off the downtown square.

Description
Famous for our all-you-can eat family style meals. Country vegetable and fried chicken is everyone's favorite. Stay in our historic inn and visit our historic town square of Dahlonega where the first Gold Rush was located. The Smith House is locked one block from the square.
