We are older adults, but this is my first wedding. His family wanted us to have a formal wedding. I am retired & was having to watch the budget. The resort was recommended by an acquaintance. Items down the line were broken out by guest size & we were able to pick & choose what we wanted & what would... More

This was a perfect choice for us: available cabins with ability to bring pets. This is a recreational setting for families and couples. Equestrian theme, but really set up as a wedding destination. We were in the area to hike the AT and see Springer Mountain, and the Chattahoochee Nat'l Forest.

The adult dining room offered a very quiet environment with live or light music playing. Food is cooked in small amounts to keep fresh.

My daughter and I stayed for a single night in the Bears Den lodge. The location seemed perfect for our trek in Amicalola State Park and a 3 day stay at the Len Foote Hike Inn there. The grounds are beautiful and a number of activities are offered such as horseback riding, swimming and horseshoes. We were greeted by a... More

We visit Forrest Hills for their Mother's Day and Easter brunches every year. However, we were so disappointed in the Mother's Day brunch this year. Many of the entrée selections were out and not being refilled, as were the salads. The dessert selection this year was horrendous, which is usually one of our favorite parts of the dining experience there,... More

I'm so surprised and saddened to hear this as we only heard positive feedback from so many of our guests that day. I would appreciate it if you would call me directly to discuss your experience. We certainly hope you will come back. Michele More

We'd expected the usual eggs and bacon-style Sunday breakfast/brunch but was treated to an incredible, full southern meal. There were plenty of choices for salad (real salad, not just iceburg lettuce), potatoes, vegetables, meats and deserts. The food was tasty and felt more like a gourmet meal than a buffet.

This past weekend, my husband and I took a little mini getaway, and drove a couple hours north to Forrest Hills. Our intention was to spend the evening in the room we rented, then check out and go hike Amicalola the following day before heading home. I was wary of the place for a few reasons: 1) I'd never been... More

We made two separate bookings for a Friday/Saturday night trip, as the same type of room wasn't available for two consecutive nights. We were shocked upon arrival to learn that we had been upgraded to their highest level cabin (# 19), without even requesting this upgrade. What a gorgeous cabin. Secluded, well decorated, comfortable bed, amazing hot tub, very clean.... More

We "discovered" this place a couple years ago when visiting Big Canoe. The lunch buffet on Sundays is wonderful! Good, simple Southern cooking. The staff is warm and welcoming and very accommodating. The year we went for Thanksgiving dinner, we all agreed that finding Forrest Hills was what we were all most thankful for that year.
