My friend and I went here on a whim because we heard it was so amazing. We were surprised to not be handed a menu. They really only have one thing on their menu - chicken! And it is really good chicken. You can get beans and rice added or a bean soup. There are condiments for the chicken as... More

The locals call it "half chicken-whole chicken." No menu just a choice of a half chicken or a whole chicken with rice and beans (re-fried or soup). Salsa/condiment bar for a little added spice. Awesome food at a very reasonable price.

Great place worth trying. Options of chicken or ribs with condiments at buffet. Chicken was great along with bean soup. Quick service and reasonably priced.

This place is nothing like most Mexican places; this is the real deal. You can get 1/2 chicken or whole, refried beans or beans soup, and rice. Assorted sauces and pico de gallo. Everything we tasted was fresh and authentic, reasonably priced, quick service in an unassuming place in the middle of a residential area. Not to be missed!

A college professor introduced my class to this hidden gem 6 years ago. While in the general area today, I decided to try to find it again. Google maps didn't take us directly there, but we found it anyway! I ate every morsel of my meal and felt completely satisfied afterwards. Like other reviewers said, there's no menu, but you'll... Whenever I generally visit Dalton,Georgia,I stop to eat at some of the best Restaurants in the area. I visited the El Pollo Alegre restaurant, and I absolutely enjoyed their smoked chicken, with Rice & Beans! Their Chickens are carefully smoked & prepared in a separate building, located outside their main dining area! Their Chicken is well seasoned, so you can taste the... More

Words can so justice to their chicken, you must visit. That's all there is on the menu so if you're not a fan of pollo you may want to look elsewhere. Worth a stop!

They know how to smoke a chicken. They have ribs too and they are fall apart tender, but the seasoning isn't what I prefer. The chicken is amazing though. They will ask you if you want a whole chicken or half and they have rice, beans, and bean soup. They have a little self serve bar for salsas and guacamole.
