I have eaten all over the world. Parker's is easily in my top 5! If you find yourself at this quaint, humble, little steakhouse, I recommend you not miss out on three things; 1) the Bone-In Strip or Scallops 2) the bread pudding 3) Darryl... This guy may be one of the finest servers I've ever had the pleasure of... More

Recently we were invited to a friend's rehearsal dinner at Parker's on Ponce. It was a group of approximately 50 people and was held in their very comfortable back room which was separated from the front part of the restaurant by heavy drapes. It was a terrific experience because the room was spacious and private. You could have easily added... More

Staying at Stone Mountain Park and wanted a fine dining restaurant close by. Found this excellent restaurant on Open Table. From the minute we walked in it was a really nice evening. A big thank you to April for taking such good care of us. We had the grilled octopus appetizer to start. Fantastic. My wife had the trout I... More

My Fiance and I went for our Valentine's dinner. The Piano player made unwanted, repeated advances towards her even after I arrived. I spoke to our wait person, the manager who was there and the senior manager of the establishment. I will NEVER go back and encourage everyone to avoid PARKERS until they change.

We were there for a rehearsal dinner , so I can't say anything about prices. Filet was great and desserts to , especially creme brûlée and bread pudding

We were quite excited to visit Parker's on Ponce this evening, given the generally excellent reviews, both online and from friends. In all fairness, we were part of a large party, visiting at a high-volume time on Saturday, so not exactly the best case scenario to expect excellence. Perhaps, I was expecting too much as well. That said, here is... More

Hi Matthew, I apologize that your experience was less than satisfactory. While we always aim to exceed expectations, unfortunately we occasionally do fall short. If you're willing, I'd like to speak with you regarding your experience, to obtain some more information so I can make this a learning experience for the staff - and hopefully make sure that if you... We met two other couples at Parker's on Ponce tonight. Lovely piano playing in the background, excellent wait staff, quality food. I am allergic to flax seed, asked if they had any dinner rolls without seeds, the waiter said he would see whether they had any; shortly he came back with freshly baked dinner rolls I could eat (they were... Very good service - great steaks and good sides. A very enjoyable meal - beyond steaks the rack of lamb and shrimp and grits got good reviews from our group. The side of grilled Brussels sprouts was excellent as were the truffle fries and potatoes au gratin. Desserts were also good - the chocolate cake and pecan pie were both... More

We were headed to another restaurant but someone beckoned us from the doorway. We took that as a sign and changed our plans. I am glad we did. The octopus appetizer special was unusual and delicious. The filet melted in my mouth. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. It was quiet enough in our dining room that we could have... More

Description
Owned by brothers John-Thomas and Christopher Scott, Parker's on Ponce is Decatur's first independently owned steakhouse. The Scott family has always been extremely involved in the local community, including local government. The restaurant is named after John-Thomas' seven year old daughter, Parker. The whole family is often seen at the restaurant - it is not a business to them, but a home - and they treat guests of the restaurant as family as well.
