OK. Let's say this first. I really like Mezcalito's. The food & drinks are quite good. My partner & I have been coming here 2-3 times a month for 2 years. The service is (and always has been) OK to bad. That was OK with us both. I went tonight and the service wasn't just bad, but AWFUL!! I sat... More

Nice reliable Mexican food. Nothing special. Brunch is fine. Plenty of vegetarian options. Never tried the other Mex restaurant in Oakhurst so can't compare

The sandwiches were excellent and the service was great. They accommodated our family needs and the food was prepared quickly.

Most dishes are good eats. Always enjoy the tres leches cake at the end. Not really a drinking joint though they have a full bar. Comfortable seating and pleasant atmosphere.

This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. The menu is small, traditional items like a ground beef taco will not be found. You will pay for your chips and salsa. In fact, prices are a bit on the high side when you compare them to other Mexican restaurants. The small menu is a good thing in my opinion. The food... More

So I love grilled fish tacos--apparently these are not "authentic" or true Baja style, but that is what I like, and Mezcalito's does them, and does them extremely well. They are seasoned and grilled to perfection, served with a tasty sauce, onions and a little cabbage. Order the plate with black beans and rice. The rice is flavored with cilantro... More

We've been here a couple of times and were not impressed. First of all, their margaritas are below average. Their food is okay, but I was hungry afterward (my portion was small). I got a seafood plate (daily special) that was pricier than the menu items and quite unimpressive.

We recently moved into the neighborhood and have now tried Mezcalito's twice and have twice been underwhelmed. Atmosphere is nice enough and the service is cordial, but our food has been mediocre at best. On our most recent visit, the fish tacos were OK but the chicken tacos, rice and beans all had little flavor. This restaurant is an easy... More

Having spent much time in Mexico, I'm hard to please when it comes to Mexican restaurants in the US. Mezcalito's flavors are authentic, and the tamales are divine. The fish and shrimp tacos are my other favorites. I have to qualify my recommendations because I'm a pescaterian. The house salad is quite tasty, with a lively and very tasty dressing.... More

I had a completely different experience than other reviewers. I went for Cinco de Mayo and I got there before the rush and service was slow. The sangria was the worst I've ever tasted. I ordered the tamale and I could barely eat it because it was EXTREMELY spicy (and I like spicy food). The black beans were good but... More
