We went late afternoon for dinner. Food was delicious. Very attentive server. Food was good. Later we went to the rooftop bar. It's great up there. Love the atmosphere with all the lighted palm trees.

Dropped in on a Thursday evening and was seated immediately. Our server, Amanda was terrific. She knew the menu and dinner specials and explained the catch of the day with sides. Atmosphere was great and relaxing. My wife fell in love with the crab cakes...dinner. I enjoyed the swordfish and steamed oysters. Wonderful evening and we will be happy to drive an hour each way for this treat. Thanks for an unexpected surprise evening!More

The wife and I had been wanting to try this restaurant after hearing some good reviews from friends. We went early on a Wednesday evening and the place was basically empty at that hour. I guess it was too early for most folks to have...dinner. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. I young man by the name of Chase was our server. Although he had some problems reciting the specials for the day, it was not a big deal and he made sure everything was correctly stated and answered any questions we had before taking our order. Chase checked back with us through out the meal to see it we needed anything and that was appreciated. I ordered some steamed oysters as a starter for us to share and they were very good. We both ordered from the specials of the day. I had the stuffed shrimp which was served with fire roasted risotto and broccolini. My wife ordered the grilled Branzino which was served with wild rice and a vegetable medley. The food was very good and we both enjoyed the selection we had made. However, I did sample the grilled Branzino and that was a delicious fish. I will order that if it is available on our next visit and we certainly plan to visit again.More

We stopped in Dublin due to a late start out of Atlanta heading to Tybee. We thought it would be a Cracker Barrel night... On a whim we went to downtown Dublin and it was very quaint. It was packed and we tried to get...in two restaurants, yet both had an hour wait. We went to Saltwater Fishery as it was right around the corner. This was an older building that left a lot of the original architecture in the high ceilings. It was a very open atmosphere. Again there was a wait, however the manager saw us and asked if we wanted to sit at the bar immediately! Sat down and bartender was very friendly. She was working very hard, yet always checked up on us. One of the owners happened to be sitting beside us and struck up a conversation. What a friendly person. Had the seafood mac and cheese and would recommend it. Upstairs they have a rooftop lounge and the lead singer was from the Drifters! Great atmosphere and would highly recommend it. Food was delicious. Only suggestion is get there early!More

We so enjoyed this upscale restaurant in Dublin. The staff was efficient and very friendly, the food was well prepared. The roof top bar is worth the trip with comfortable seating and live entertainment. We will definitely be back!!

May 7 was the first night I had eaten at Saltwater and it just so happened to be the night they hosted Dueling Pianos. The evening was fantastic! My family and I had so much fun. The restaurant has a rooftop bar with views of...the downtown area and is also the place where the pianos were set up. Sitting upstairs, we had dinner first (lighter fare than what’s downstairs in the main restaurant), which was decent food, and then had drinks, while we watched the show. There were a good number of people there, which could explain the slow service. All-in-all, we had a wonderful experience.More

This is a quality restaurant with great food and excellent prices in a nice environment. Service was good and food was excellent. Lunch prices are especially affordable and portion size is great. Crab cakes are wonderful and the "sweet" hush puppies are tasty and unique.

Found out about this place on line. It was fantastic, got there at lunch and everything from the service to the food was very good. Hot hushpuppies with butter was brought out while we decided and they tasted so good. We ordered oysters on the...half shell and the fish and chips, every thing was exceptional, so glad we found this place. Looking forward to another visit in the near future.More

I want to really love this place...it's really one of two places in Dublin that is nice and isn't convenience and fast food. It's a place to go to when you want a nice dinner out and makes you feel like you are NOT in...Dublin. And I DID love this place...until the rooftop opened! Their rooftop bar and dining area is something unique to the town and sets it apart from everything else. It feels cosmopolitan and elevates the classiness of the rural town. It's a big space with a big bar and set up wonderfully. HOWEVER, the place is managed so poorly! Their rooftop opened on 3/12 with performers Friday and Saturday night. Friday was nice. It was busy but not overwhelming so. Saturday WAS A COMPLETE AND UTTER DISASTER! * They have been VERY clear that reservations are NOT taken for the rooftop. If is first come, first serve. MANY people called asking about reservations for that area and ALL were told that they do not take them for up there. That's perfectly fine and didn't bother anybody...UNTIL guests started showing up and lo and behold, tables has "reserved" signs on them. It wasn't just one table in the corner...it was several! I arrived early for the entertainment and to hang out and drink and eat so I was able to secure a spot for me and my friends but I had to watch tons of people have no where to sit and heard over and over again that they were told constantly that you could not reserve a table up there. THE OWNERS CLEARLY SHOW A COMPLETE DISREGARD OF CUSTOMERS BECAUSE THEY PICK AND CHOSE WHO WAS ABLE TO RESERVE TABLES. MEANING, THEY RESERVED TABLES FOR THEIR FRIENDS. WHAT A POOR EXAMPLE TO SET FOR ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS! * As the night went on and entertainment was to start at 8, it got more and more crowded. The tables and seating were spaced out to account for COVID and social distancing, however, that all went out the window. We watched as the crowd reached what looked to be capacity and continued to grow. We sat there as the owner made management bring up banquet tables from downstairs and chairs and set up large tables for their friends and to seat more people. They set up a table right against the bar, blocking any pathway there was there and having people on top of each other. THEY WERE OVERCROWDED! THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE AND THEIR CONTINUED INSISTANCE ON BRINGING IN MORE TABLES WAS IN COMPLETE DISREGARD OF EVERYONE'S SAFETY AND SOCIAL DISTANCING! WHY WAS THERE NO ONE REGULATING THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE COMING IN AT ALL?! OH...BECAUSE OWNERS ONLY CARED ABOUT MONEY! * The staff tried really hard to keep up with the crowd, but it was clear that they were understaffed. THE FREAKING OWNER WAS REPRIMANDING STAFF AND PLACING ALL BLAME ON THEM AND FIRING THEM ON THE SPOT! HOW UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHORT-SIGHTED ARE THE OWNERS! THIS IS A CRAPPY WAY TO TREAT EMPLOYEES WHO ARE TRYING DESPERATELY TO MEET UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS FROM OWNERS WHO TREAT THE PLACE LIKE THEIR OWN PERSONAL PLAYGROUND. Again, I loved this place...until I saw how poorly it is managed and how crappy the owners are. It has the potential to be something great in this small, sleepy town with absolutely nothing to do. The food is great...the space is great...the staff DO work hard...but the owners and management are only out for themselves and micromanage and only want to make money at the expense of everyone else. It is clear that they pick and choose who gets privileges and think that because they own it, they can treat people how ever way they want. What a disappointment this has become!More
