I wouldn't recommend this place for BBQ when there are several better choices around town. Pork often has fat or gristle... Fries are sub par...

We really enjoyed our lunch here this past weekend. People were very friendly and even brought out a bowl of water for our furbabies. We have seen this place before and finally glad we took the opportunity to stop and eat this time. We will be back. Really good BBQ. Love the smoky sauce! Buddy and Abby love the BBQ... More

Decided to go miles out of our way just to visit Poole's following a visit to Gibbs Gardens. Although the area has certainly grown around it, Poole's is still pretty much Poole's. The pig hill of fame still stands, but, more importantly, the BBQ is as good as memory made it. And I have to say, as a (blush) somewhat... More

Always delicious food. The ribs are so flavorful and tender. We have never had a bad experience with food or service. The prices are pretty reasonable, too!

We decided to try some GA BBQ and we were very disappointed! First of all, there was no smoke seen at all. Second, they pulled the meat from a warmer! We should have left, but ordered a pound of chopped pork. DRY, DRY, DRY! Ordered a half of slab of ribs, they were just "okay" and a pound of chopped... More

We were running late meeting family here for dinner. They closed at 6pm but remained open for us. The food is amazingly delicious. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I highly recommend a stop here if you're in the area. You cannot go wrong with FSU football and BBQ!

Colonial Poole's BarBQ aka Pigs on a Hill is by far the best BarBQ in the north GA mountains. The question is smoky flavor and cooked to perfection! The stew is great. Yes I'll take another helping. And by all means, order the onion rings! Grand slam delicious!

We stopped in to Poole's on a recommendation from some locals we met and were pleased with the BBQ they served. The restaurant is truly a unique local hang out and side road traction with all the painted pigs on the hill side with customers names. From the moment you walk in you are met with that great southern hospitality... More

Nothing special here. Would recommend the Pink Pig north of town. Pink pig has GREAT garlic salad dressing and BarBQue. Really quaint little out of the way place with friendly service.

We were craving bbq and this place looked good. The minute we walked in, it felt very inviting. We asked for advice and everyone, even other customers were willing to share what they liked best with us. Everything was great and I even bought a few bottles of their actual bbq sauce because it was so good!
