Doug’s has been around for 40 years or so and has always served quality Southern food. Friday is all you can eat catfish and my favorite side is the sweet potato casserole.

If you want some great southern food at an exceptional price eat here. Good food with lots of selections. Staff will get you what you want even if it's not on the menu. If they have the food they will cook it to your liking.

Doug's place is conveniently located just a short distance from Exit 285 off of I-75. It is worth the stop. In fact, if you live anywhere nearby, it's worth the trip. This is good southern food, served in ample proportions. It will likely be crowded...More

We came to avoid the fast food junk near the Lake Point athletic complex, and it is worth the extra drive. Terrific southern food, excellent friendly service, and don't miss the strawberry cobbler.

We stopped in after a baseball game at Lakepointe. My wife and I had the fried chicken and vegetables. The food was great. It was an interesting visit. Seemed to have a lot of history there.

We go to Doug's Place regularly. Breakfast serves up Bisquits that are as light as air along with the whole southern plate of eggs, grits, bacon and even some fresh melon if in season. Sunday lunch, or "dinner" here in the south, can have you...More

Passed by around lunchtime today and decided to stop. Very good prices and variety. I had pinto beans, silver queen creamed corn, fried okra, and cornbread. It was all delicious. Friendly wait staff. Quick service considering the place was packed.
