We were staying next door and went there because of convenience. The restaurant was not what I would call a fine dining place. I expected it to be priced something like Applebee's, O'Charley's, or Red Lobster. My husband got a bison burger and I got she crab soup and a wedge salad. We had one iced tea and one water.... Dear Roger, Thank you for taking the time to post a Trip Advisor review on your visit to The Chophouse of Hiawassee. Our menu is very diverse and has something for everyone, from salads and burgers to steaks and seafood. I'm not not sure how you paid over $60.00 for the items you listed. Our bison burger is $11.99, she... More

We selected the Chop House because of the TripAdvisor reviews. Let me lay it out: Without a reservation, we were seated in about 20 minutes, experienced excellent service, and had a tasty meal at reasonable prices. We would eat here again, and recommend it. The odd part? They were clearly understaffed (per the marquee) with the hostess telling everyone that... More

We had a 5pm reservation for a party of 8. We were in town to see Jamey Johnson next door. It took forever to get drinks, and service was terrible!! We ended up having to leave without dinner!! 2 hours and no food... very disappointed!

Our group had several steak and seafood dishes and all were well prepared. Steaks were done exactly as ordered, nothing over or under done. Cheerful, attentive service. Interesting variety of original dishes, prices very reasonable for such good quality.

The crab cake was delicious. My boyfriend had the trout very good. A good selection of alcohol beverage to choose from. Rick our server was excellent. We will be back next year.

The restaurant is next door to the Chatuge Inn, where we were staying, so it was convenient. We had eaten at the ChopHouse in Murphy, NC and had a very pleasant experience, so we felt this would be a great choice. My husband and I both had steak and the sides. We ordered Calamari for our Appetizer, which was served... More

After standing 4,783 feet above sea level on Georgia's highest mountain to celebrate her birthday, the Mrs. and I headed for the Chophouse to experience a surf and turf dinner of an equally exalted level thanks to our skilled server Heather-- a perfectly grilled 6 oz. fillet accompanied with scrumptious seared sea scallops. Her genius at translating our descriptions of... More

My wife and I went on an overnight stay. We decided to go eat at the chophouse. We were seated after a brief wait. Our waitress, Heather, came by and got our drink order and told us of the specials. We decided on prime rib and a rib eye. The soup was excellent along with my wife's salad. Prime rib... More

Enjoyed salmon with GA peaches, yummy. Loved the Brussel sprouts. Bread was doughy, but overall meal was good. Waiter was good, too.

Thank Laurie R
