Warm welcome, good service and good food. Plenty of space and dog friendly in and out of pub. Quite pricey but we would return - recommend it for after a day walking or mucking about at Birling Gap beach (about 10 mins drive from BG)

We ate here last Saturday evening. It wasn't busy at the time. Pleasant looking pub. I ordered the pork loin. It came as one lump with a big fatty rind on it, sitting on top of some tasteless mash with one small slice of black...More

We love this pub. Really good interesting menu and well presented dishes. The beers are great too. Their summer Oxfest is a real treat if you can catch it.

Food was good, the seafood risotto contained much more cooking fluid than I'm used to, although it tasted good ; and my partner has an awesome rich dark chocolate dessert topped with pistachios. I really enjoyed the Rye based beer, an unusual and exceptionally refreshing...More

A lovely country pub. The food was excellent - we had Sunday lunch. The Meat is from their farm. We were tempted and succumbed to pudding. The staff were friendly and the service was good. A hidden gem!

We went for lunch here having found it in passing whilst on holiday in the area. We had Sunday lunch. The service was good. The staters were ok but the roast beef Sunday roasts were awful. The meat was so over cooked. I complained and...More
