Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. The place was empty and the service folks were all very young. Not A great sign, but we were very impressed with the service and knowledgeable staff. The bibombop was good. Sides were very good. Pumpkin soup was excellent. The prices were very affordable.

The staff is GREAT. There is attention given to customers which make you feel very comfortable. There is enough food to fill you up. However, some of the side dishes are not that pleasant.

Having tried all Chicago area Korean restaurants, this one remains in top 5 on my list. Clean, efficient layout. Menu just big enough to keep all the items in good quality. Provided that none of the Chicago korean restaurants reach the level of sofistication found in great restaurants in Korea this one comes close. The staff is friendly with the... More

Tried Korean cuisine for the first time from Wooil, and I am truly impressed. I tried Hot Bimbimbap. It's basically combination if rice, seasoned beef, a whole lot if veggies including carrot, spinach, mushrooms served in a hot stone pot. The presentation itself is anazing, and it tastes awesome. Meals come with a clear veg soup and side plate with... More

Having reserved a table with a BBQ-grill, my dining companions and I arrived at the appointed time and were immediately seated. Service was very attentive and the meal excellent. At Woo IL you have the choice of ordering from the menu and of numerous BBQ offerings; as well as having the kitchen prepare them for you, or, you can grill... More

We recently visited this restaurant for the first time. The portions were very generous. The wait staff and kitchen staff were very attentive, kind, and accessible. They seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we were satisfied and comfortable. We got a combination platter, very good quality. The star was the beef short rib, which is prepared laboriously in house... We enjoyed... More

WE LOVE this place. The owner is very nice. Telling us his story to why he decided to leave his very lucrative job to own this restaurant. Food is not only good but, HIGH QUALITY. The rice is out of this world nutritious and delicious.

The food was not only Authentic but also home style. The Mother was in the back cooking and the dishes were clearly made with all the attention and detail that only a home cooked meal could exhibit The staff was very accommodating and the dishes were adjusted to avoid sea food. The only disappointment was the Korean beef which was... More
