We were in Chicago visiting out daughter recently. Had dinner on a Saturday night here. We were extremely disappointed, especially after all the glowing reviews. To us, it seemed like everything we had was in a salty bland brown sauce similar to what you'd get at a really bad Chinese restaurant. We had the Guy Fieri (sp?) combo special. My... More

Coming from montreal we spend a couple of months a year in chicago. Food was so fresh so it took a little longer but their seafood was amazing and their rice and beef was so delicious. We are going again for 2 weeks in October and plan on eating there at least 3-4 times. Thats how good it is.

This is a buzzing little café type restaurant in a small strip mall in Rogers Park Chicago what's a fantastic buzz.. A warm welcome from the lovely servers. Brilliant food.. It's a BYOB which I did not realize but that was no problem because I was directed to a great little liquor store half a block down the street where... More

This small, unassuming restaurant serves amazing food! They offer a wide range of Peruvian dishes, many with seafood. We had the Peruvian tamales that were much better than the Mexican style, very moist and succulent. Their Paella is truly some of the best I've ever had. We also had Bistec Apanado, which is marinated beef served like a casserole with... More

I'm originally from Peru so I am familiar with the different dishes that Peruvian food has to offer. I have to say that my husband and I started with an appetizer of anticuchos and yucas and they tasted so good you definitely don't want to miss them but their Lomo Saltado is amazing. Very well cooked and the taste was... More

Great place, very friend staff and wonderful food, only downside is that there is limited parking in the lot. I would recommend this place to any one

Taste of Peru is a family-owned restaurant with a lot of flavor and a lot of heart. Everything from the menu, to the decorations, to even the "No Chilean Pisco" sign at the entrance creates a warm atmosphere. While many restaurants have some sort of description regarding their humble origins, the one for Taste of Peru really comes to life... More
