After seeing matinee Hamilton, we came here for an early dinner at 5. It gets busy 5-7p for theater goers. From crab leg appetizer to the blackened scallops, and bone in rib eye. All delicious. Steak was juicy and cooked perfectly. Portions are big. The jalapeño hash browns and green bean side dishes were excellent as well. Brownie sundae with... More

My wife and I had a terrific meal prior to seeing Hamilton. The service was very appropriate to this upscale restaurant. We shared a Sinatra steak and had plenty.

Our favorite restaurant in any city is Rosebud Prime in Chicago. Once again last night we had an amazing experience. The crab Louie salad was perfection. Our steaks and side items were heavenly. The service was second to none. Thank you Team Rosebud Prime.

Went with 2 others on business. Meat is very pricey and no sides come with it. You order those extra. I had pasta with vodka sauce, very good. Dinner rolls just ok, not warmed. To me, you pay a lot for the location but it is not worth the price.

Good location, easy to get reservations midweek. Small and somewhat intimate, booths are comfy and allow for conversation. Service and food is inconsistent. Four of us ordered drinks, two of the martinis came to us up instead of on the rocks as requested. Waiter graciously took them back; when they returned one of the two still had the incorrect olive... Food was great and service impeccable! Eclectic decor inside - old but new! Could not be any closer to the Theater for Hamilton!

It's hard to give such a low review but everything we ate was pretty bad. The prime rib was over cooked, dry and fatty (and we even sent back one that looked like they heated up something leftover from last night), the lobster bisque was definitely not fresh tasting, Caesar was full of romaine ribs and pasta was good but... If I were to break down the ratings: 5 for the steak (we all had the filet, it was 1 of best I've ever had), 3 for the sides (all were dissappointing in terms of taste, even the mashed potatoes), 5 for the service (they were on their game, attentive, personable, but not overbearing, and great pacing), 2 for the... From captains and maitre d' attired in tuxedos to classic walnut paneling, this is the epitome of a traditional upscale steakhouse. Unfortunately, the grilled salmon portion for the sale enter was unusually small. Service was excellent; prices a bit high. Doubt this place was on Orion Welles lips--however it's roots were in that era.
