There is a strange disconnect between the food pricing (reasonable) and wine pricing (very limited sub- $60 bottles). Food was excellent, though the desert menu was surprisingly limited (we went to Margie's for desert as a result). This place is among the herd urging "sharing" so that they don't need to worry about staging dishes to arrive together (and I,... More

I ate with 2 other people so we shared our dinners. We ordered the chicken liver mousse and the savory monkey bread. The bread was great, the dilll butter was so good but the mousse was so amazingly delicious, I highly recommend getting it. We ordered the Raviolo from the pasta menu and the half Amish chicken for our mains,... More

Hubby and I enjoyed a marvelous dinner here. Each dish was better than the last. We dined here during Restaurant week and it was our favorite of the six restaurants we visited. Although the noise level was a bit on the high side, we loved the decor with a modern yet cozy ambiance. Dinner started with baba ghanoush, which was... More

I saw this restaurant on Check please, and decided to give it a try. Sensational, the food the atmosphere , the vibe was amazing. We went during restaurant week and dined of four courses and the wine pairing. I am a appetizer girl and never, finish a meal so I just order appetizers, this place proved me wrong. The leisurely... A lovely venue with cozy bar area and comfortable seating (particularly along the wall with the padded bench), The Bristol packs 'em in for dinner treats. We tried it as part of restaurant week (our second time here). Whilst the food is good, it just seems to miss it a bit. The brussel sprouts were just too crispy and heavily... More

We dined feb. 1 for restaurant week. Wow; the chef is amazing. Delicious food and their presentation of the food. The pastry chef is incredible too. We ordered several items. Everything was great. Great wine list too. Very nice spot if you don't want to fight downtown traffic. Enjoy.

Visited Chicago for the first time and decided to do some exploring, after hearing Bucktown is a must for hip, underground places decided to check it out. Hopped into The Bristol for brunch and it was great! Salmon was delicious and perfectly cooked, also took some bites of a friend's burger and was amazing! Very friendly staff, cool location. PS.... Okay I know Cacio Pepe pasta isn't the most complex But aren't things that are simpler with less ingredients, more difficult to perfect? The bristols version is the closest to the best we've eaten , which was in a small Tuscan village, Buon Convento..mama cooking, papa serving.. Simple perfect, cheese, pepper, joyful... Bristol is a very close second... Nothing comes... More

I don't know what happened. Maybe we were there on an off night. But our meal was just plain not very good. Not well cooked and not fresh tasting. It's too bad. We used to like this place.

For our monthly friend's get-together we found this fabulous spot. Creative food, designed to be shared was enjoyed by all. True to all reviews the monkey bread and duck fat fries were to drool for. The prawns left us a little wanting--lots of prawn head, little "meat," but great flavor. The salmon was nicely prepared. The spaetzle on the chicken... More
