Nice breakfast. Very healthy and tasty. Kind waitress. Recommended by People Magazine. For sure the best breakfast after the Chicago marathon

When there isn't a line, when the coffee machine is working, and with pleasant staff this place is a wonderful local gem! It's very dive-y and old inside, but the outdoor seating is spacious. The food - pastries and sandwiches are nice too.
needed a lunch spot near the Fullerton stop on the L, found this one on line. It claims to be the greatest coffee in the area, and it might be. The sandwiches and breakfast bowls were definitely very good. Best of all the sound track was amazing. classic and innovative jazz. I hope to be in the neighborhood and hungry... More
Set back on a fairly busy road in a lovely old building we visited a few times during our stay. Very relaxed atmosphere inside and out and good coffee near Fullerton L station. Garden set under trees to avoid the hot sun.
I had heard of this coffee shop and was curious. The location in Lincoln Park was a plus, it's menu was another plus, the super relaxed atmosphere was a third plus....then we came to my order. I always ask ..."It's my first time here...what should I try?" The awesome barista suggested a chai tea latte. They make their own chai... More
Stumbled across this place walking to my hostel from Fullerton station. I decided to give it a try that afternoon. Inside appears like an antique/historic home turned restaurant, which offers a cozy, coffeehouse type vibe. The staff was friendly and there are multiple sections to seat yourself after ordering. I ordered an Italian panini, and on a return dining, I... More
There was a great selection of food and the service was great. However, I can't give it a higher score because there is a true lack of value here. The food tasted fine but the cost was way too high for we were actually eating. Small panini sandwiches for $15 bucks + each? Sorry, not worth it. Atmosphere was fine.... More
Something unusual happened when my daughter and I went to the B Pig Cafe. They were out of decaf coffee. Not a big deal. BUT then the gentlemen working the coffee bar made a special effort to say that he was SORRY and then offered a suggestion for a brew that would have the least caffeine. This was right after... More
I've been there last week. The place looks uninviting, although they have a beautiful set of antiques inside. It is actually quite nice in there. The food, well, I ordered an omelette, they didn't have it. So I asked their opinion, they offered me a spinach quiche. I accepted. I also ordered an espresso. The quiche was mushy, wet, tasted... Really friendly staff and nice coffee. The two room option is a little confusing but the staff can help explain. The coffee is good and the iced tea is my favorite. Their food options are made to order and their desserts are nice!
