We have visited 3 times. Once for wedding anniversary in Jan 2014, then with more family in December 2014 and then more recently. I am veg so can speak for that. Have tried all of the veg menu and it is awesome. Drinks, bread, cheese is...More

If you’re not a vegetarian, this is IMHO, ONE of Chicago’s GEM restaurants. Let’s just start with the cocktails menu which has wonderfully crafted bourbon and whiskey cocktails. My spouse had a drink called Thyme is Honey Which was absolutely delightful. We chose for different...More

Got to sit on a shared table and it was very fun. Very tasty and delicious food with a rustic presentation. I had a lovely G&T. Highly recommend for group of friends. Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Book in advance!

The best part about this place is the atmosphere. It’s open concept so everyone feels seen, it’s loud and energetic, and the staff are fun. We popped in during Halloween weekend, so it was extra. We tried the goat dishes, and they were delicious. The...More

Amazing food & awesome drinks. The dining pace here is fast.... food comes quickly, before previous dishes have been finished & tables are small... & quickly fills up with plates. Menu style is small plates. Liked the spicy drink. We would like to return, but...More

The food was ok, but not worth the two year wait it took to find a reservation ...admittedly I was limited in my own availability. The ambiance is a bit noisy but good west loop vibe. My pet peeve is taste of the month restaurants....More

It was my mom & I's last night in Chicago & we'd planned an early dinner at Au Cheval, only to get there and be greeted with a 2 hour wait. We decided to walk around & see if any other restaurants in the area...More

It's hard to review a fad restaurant unless the fad is one that you enjoy. It's a cutesy place. We tried the pig face, a bunch of starters and two vegan dishes. All good enough. However, the sodium content was sky high. We all downed...More

I was lucky enough to snag a reservation the day of which is almost impossible at this place and was not disappointed. There are very few meals that I have had in the city better than the food here. That said this is a loud...More

Went to Girl & The Goat for dinner. The flavors were wonderful. The Duck Tongues were surprisingly delicious and probably the best part of the meal. We also had the fried oysters, scallops, escargot ravioli, goat empanadas, and another surprising favorite was the Pig Face....More

Fulton Market, Randolph Market, Jackson Boulevard and
Greek Town make up the West Loop. The neighborhood is
best known as the location of Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo

up-and-coming spot for Chicago’s trendsetters. Several
sub-neighborhoods within West Loop make this a unique
neighborhood to visit. Dotted with factories and

I do not recommend bringing children. There is no kids menu. There many better choices for kids in the city. I would suggest RJ Grunts or Heaven on Seven. If it's a weekday and lunch lookup Revival Food Hall.

Description
Girl & the Goat has been serving fun foods, craft beers, and making wine in a rustic and kick-butt environment since summer 2010. The restaurant opens at 4:30 every day, and stays open until 11pm on weeknights and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays (until those last late night eaters scrape their fork across the plate for the last time, or finish licking their plates until they're shiny and clean). The Goat's menu is divided into three categories: Vegetable, Fish, and of course Meat--while vegetable, fish, or meat are respectively the main stars of their categories, there are crossovers in each area so you'll get a little bit of everything. Bread is baked daily, and there are always new creations on the menu. Girl & the Goat sits in the West Loop smack dab in the Randolph Restaurant Corridor, but the location is still gritty enough to appeal to the chef’s integrity. The Goat has a variety of seating choices, including a comfortable lounge, bar seats, standard table seating, and four seats close enough to the kitchen line that you might be asked to help.Girl & the Goat blended their own wine, and it's tasty. There are beers on tap from Three Floyd’s and a couple others. If you're lucky, you might come across the elusive collaboration beers that Stephanie personally crafted with a couple of beer buddy cohorts. In addition to tap beers, there's also a bunch of bottles to choose from. Girl & the Goat is open 7 days a week, because The Goat is a tireless beast, and besides, who needs rest anyway? Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads, adventurers, and those of you who don’t like to plan.
