Need to take two servings per person, with family style sharing. Me and my son like to have more, so between three of us had 8 servings. Scallops, oysters, califlower eere my favorite this time.

Was recommended the place by a local. Had no reservation so I just walked in at 10pm on a Tuesday night. Was offered to sit at the bar only, by the hostess, despite several tables that were available and never filled up during my time there. First mistake in my book. Proceeded to sit at the counter and order a... More

As I sit writing my review I have yet to taste the Halibut appeared in the attached photo....so if I can edit this post after my taste, I will do so or repost. First, we are REAL DEAL foodies, out of Southern CA, home of an overwhelming abundance of Quintessential Fine Dining Cuisines and a Carn i Val of cultural... More

I came here off the back of a recommendation and I am glad I did. The food was really good. Dining solo I was sat on a communal table which was fine with me. The staff were really helpful providing suggestions for dishes as well as recommending the number of dishes to have. The portions in my opinion varied in... More

I walked in on a Wednesday evening. Holy cow , this place is busy. I was given a seat at the communal table and ordered about 4 dishes and a glass of wine. The food was fantastic and cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere and friendly service. certainly worth a visit!

I was looking for a reservation for this hotspot in Chicago, there was no more available at 10:15 pm for a late night dinner. I arrived with my girlfriend and 2 other friends, exactly 10:00 sharp and did not get the table until 10:40. The place was packed as if we were at the Cubs Stadium. The guy at the... More

We shared 12 different dishes with the help of our great waiter. He suggested the duck tongues, to our surprise they crisp and so good. We had the broccoli roasted over the wood fire, soft shell crabs, goat empanadas, chickpea fritters to name a few. Each dish was served to share and then the deserts arrived after several bottles of... More

Really liked this place! We had a 9:30 reservation on a Monday night and the place was still packed. It is served family style, on dish at a time. It's like your own personally picked tasting menu. The pierogies and calamari were great, but the star of the show was the crispy braised pork shank!!

Thank Rob T

Girl & the Goat has been serving fun foods, craft beers, and making wine in a rustic and kick-butt environment since summer 2010. The restaurant opens at 4:30 every day, and stays open until 11pm on weeknights and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays (until those last late night eaters scrape their fork across the plate for the last time, or finish licking their plates until they're shiny and clean). The Goat's menu is divided into three categories: Vegetable, Fish, and of course Meat--while vegetable, fish, or meat are respectively the main stars of their categories, there are crossovers in each area so you'll get a little bit of everything. Bread is baked daily, and there are always new creations on the menu. Girl & the Goat sits in the West Loop smack dab in the Randolph Restaurant Corridor, but the location is still gritty enough to appeal to the chef’s integrity. The Goat has a variety of seating choices, including a comfortable lounge, bar seats, standard table seating, and four seats close enough to the kitchen line that you might be asked to help.Girl & the Goat blended their own wine, and it's tasty. There are beers on tap from Three Floyd’s and a couple others. If you're lucky, you might come across the elusive collaboration beers that Stephanie personally crafted with a couple of beer buddy cohorts. In addition to tap beers, there's also a bunch of bottles to choose from. Girl & the Goat is open 7 days a week, because The Goat is a tireless beast, and besides, who needs rest anyway? Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads, adventurers, and those of you who don’t like to plan.
