Two stars is generous. The busboy earned one of the two. The other is for the atmosphere. Lively atmosphere with an upscale pub decor on a nice side street. I had Advised the rest of my allergy in advance. Re-explained again to the server who took on a dismissive posture- The server seemed annoyed with me for asking what I... More

Beautiful Friday Chicago afternoon! Stooped with family to sit outside, and enjoy with appetizers and drink. Waited almost an hour for 2 flatbreads, first round of draft beer not cold, at all. Waitress pleasant but not at all engaged with situation. Too many nice places around to waste time with poor service and warm beer.

Went to breakfast/brunch here the other day... was expecting much more. Four of us ordered entries and a Monkey bread for the table before the entrees. Bread never came and then we were told (after entrees were served) that they didn't have any Monkey bread. Honestly?? Most entrees were OK... a couple of us had the lobster omelette... no complaints.... More

A friend of our clued us in about the Hubbard Inn and we stopped in for a cocktail after our meal nearby. I wish we could have stayed longer. We loved our drinks and the retro ambience of the Hubbard Inn. My wife had The Hepburn, the Hubbard Inn twist on a cucumber martini and I had the Friend With... More

Glad to hear it! Next time you visit, check out the patio. We heard from a little birdie that our cocktails taste better with a splash of sunshine :) More

Stopped by for happy hour as I am a fan of oysters and Hubbard Inn did not disappoint! At $1 each, we ordered 12 for 2 of us to share while the third guest in our party went for the shrimp cocktail - 3 very large at $2 each. Also tried a crab leg for $2. All the food was... More

Without a lot of work our meal could have been special instead of boring. Some spice on the potatoes and a little moisture. Enough hollandaise sauce to cover the poached egg on the pork belly benedict. And more belly on the pork. Butter for the English muffin and salt/pepper on the table so we didn't have to ask. Some sort... More

Visited for Saturday Brunch. Comfortable atmosphere in the River North area. Had a lobster omelette and my wife had the braised pork belly on brioche bread with a sunny side up egg. Both cooked perfectly. Also heard they have awesome Brussel Sprouts and they were!! Flash fried then coated with a balsamic vinegarette with minced shallots. Some of the best... More

We have a Groupon for the brunch. We called in advance after reading the groupon thoroughly. We arrived to an empty restaurant and were told they would not honor the groupon because they were not serving brunch that day even after we called to get a reservation and tell them we had a brunch groupon. I showed them the printed... More
