Sunday brunch we were in the quest for the best bloody mary and started off here. Long wait & no reservations, you cant call ahead so dont bother. Bartender & manager personable. BLT bloody mary had a great tomato mix but the presentation failed us. Service was not great. Left without being seated. Would not suggest for a bloody mary.

Gotta admit the name got me there. The breakfast is absolutely amazing! As the name implies there are several hashes served with scrambled, poached and fried eggs. There are several "scrambles" that are served with Chicken, pork, salmon, you name it. We have been back several times since just to try out all the selections on the menu. It will... More

Just off Division and State, we were more than pleasantly surprised by our breakfast. Portions are huge and tasty, Great potatoes to go along with the eggs, and the bacon is out of this world.

We haven't had a bad breakfast at Hash House. I ordered the meat loaf with mashed potatoes and two eggs. Great meatloaf. Hubby ordered the chicken egg benedict and it was huge and so good.

My husband and I decided to hit up brunch. When we arrived, we decided to sit at the bar. We then watched the bartender do everything, but greet us for about 5-10 minutes. We then waited a while for him to come back, so we could order. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and my husband ordered the chicken fried... More

The portions are enormous; and each of four dishes we tried were delicious. Luckily, we had a mini-frig in our room for the leftovers!emon We went back two days later and tried two more entrees.we split between four of us. We ask if there was a "share" charge and the waitress laughed and told us they encourage sharing!. We aren't... More

What better way to spend a Sunday morning than working your way through a platter of delicious, beautifully presented food as big as your torso? Bloody Mary was delicious too. Red Velvet pancake??? Hell yes, please. Excellent service despite the place being packed. Perfect end to a fun Chicago trip.

Visited this past weekend with a girlfriend and was blown away by the service at the bar, the hostesses and the flavorful breakfast food. We had the chic and waffle and chic Benedict. … SOOO good. Great spot for breakfast and brunch. Highly recommend for large groups and share these large dishes. Will def be back!

Nice atmosphere. Bloody was great, food came out and portions were HUGE! I wish we had a fridge in the hotel because I would have ate the meal all weekend! Food was amazing and worth the walk here.

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighbourhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
