Bari Subs is an old school Italian deli that was first opened in 1973 by the Pedota family. Located immediately adjacent to D;Amato's Bakery, you can pick up your sub at Bari Subs and then get your dessert at D'Amato's next door. Bari Subs does use D'Amato bread for their subs. There is no seating in Bari Subs. The deli... More

Bari has great subs! Tasty and simple. Great meat on fresh D'Amatos bread. You really can't go wrong. I recommend the Italian. It's a classic and it's soooo good. Get the large subs for parties and you won't disappoint.

Bari does subs right. The counter staff is exceptionally helpful as well. My wife is gluten free, so they made her an " Italian salad" without the bread. She could not have been more pleased. Bari Market is our last stop on our way out of Chicago.

Italian beef sandwiches were on our list and we found this place spot through some research and luck and it was stellar. We hit it up on our way in from the airport and while there is no seating, just a counter along the front window, we tucked our suitcases into the corner and scarfed down some delicious juicy italian... We've tried hundreds around US and Baris always best. Many choices, all great, but Italian is best. Hot peppers are hot! Don't be surprised this is just a local grocery store with subs made to order in the rear. There is no place to eat in Bari - only takeout.

Bari is a perfect place for a sub. Order before hand and pick them up for a picnic or a party. So affordable and the best giardiniera. It is an old school Italian deli that will put a smile on your face and in your belly. This is solely a take out place. No where to sit.

No joke. Deli counter is in the back of this small Italian grocery spot. Good selection of pastas, great homemade sauces, plus a few basics. The sub's are top notch. Pro tip, the lines can get really long, not a bad idea to call ahead.

You'll be standing in line with a cross section of Chicago- neighborhood patrons, Streets and San workers and a few of Chicago's finest to name but a few. Why are they ALL waiting so patiently? It's simple- the amazing subs are perhaps the city's best. The combination of the bread (from next door D'Amato's) and fixings are worth the wait.... More

This is a hole in the wall, no frills deli. It was quite out of the way from the city, but we made the haul. It's a deli. Walk to the back and order sandwich from deli counter. The sandwich (Italian Beef) was large and full of meat. I got the 12", which was closer to 16", but they offer... More

We order here frequently from work. I have to say these are the best ever. Fresh. And real ingredients unlike the garbage from Subway. $5 for a 9"??? The best hidden gem. Highly recommend.
