My wife and I visited out son in Chicago. We asked him to pick a place for Saturday brunch before we left town. If you are in the Wrigleyville area, this is a super place to grab a bite. As the name of the restaurant implies, the menu is, well, uncommon (but really good!). This restaurant, along with it's sister... More

Stopped in because I heard they were a tea bar, and it is, sort of, very limited selection of tea but I enjoyed th3 atmosphere. Came back a few weeks later for dinner and was very happy. I had the mac & cheese with bacon and a nonalcoholic drink, while very delicious it was still $25 forb1 bowl of Mac... More

Don't think that the very tasty and interesting food will come to you any time soon. Slow. Slow. Slow. And unprofessional.

We've been to this restaurant many times. When we first moved here, we frequented it often. However, lately it's been taking lokpnger and longer. When my dad was visiting, we waited almost 45 minutes for a bowl of soup, and ended up canceling the order. The vegetarian menu has also declined dramatically in the last few years. That being said,... More

Enjoyed out dinner here. Friendly staff, good atmosphere (sat by the fire), drinks were good and enjoyed the food.

We came back to Chicago after being gone for 16 years and Uncommon Ground was #1 on our list of places to eat at. The menu and location have changed somewhat, but the food is still as delicious as ever!

We ate here for brunch and enjoyed our meal. The sunrise sammy was delicious. The farmer's market scramble was ok, not amazing (just tomatoes were added in from the "farmer's market"). Our server didn't think to give us silverware nor a teaspoon with the coffee, but an alert manager took care of that. Maybe they had had a busy morning,... More

From the minute we walked in and were led to our outdoor table, we were hooked. The drinks are different and delicious. I had the Lemon Ginger Martini which I'd go back to the restaurant just for that! The food was fresh and wonderfully seasoned, as a matter of fact they were growing tomatoes and peppers in the flower boxes... More

We stopped here before a Cubs game, looking for a quiet spot to grab a drink. We didn't end up eating, but did get a few drinks. The bartender was knowledgeable about the house beer selection and drinks for good recommendations. All of the food we saw looked yummy and if I'm in the neighborhood again, I'll try it out!

We rented a house near Wrigley and came to Uncommon for one dinner. They grow tomatoes, basil, mint, chives, etc and their salads looked really good. Unfortunately I ordered a hamburger and they would only cook it well done - not good. The fries were tepid when they arrived. Really good beers though!

Staying in Wrigleyville

Neighbourhood Profile
This energetic sub-neighborhood, part of the larger Lakeview neighborhood, has a split personality. In the daytime you can stroll along its streets and enjoy a quiet meal, shop for gifts, walk along the row homes or sit peacefully in Graceland Cemetery. After dark, the neighborhood springs to life. Go bar-hopping along Addison and Sheffield Avenue or join the crowd at the historic Wrigley Field for live music. If there’s a Chicago Cubs baseball game in town, be prepared. Cubs fans can get a little rowdy and may prove to be a bit overwhelming if you're not expecting it.
