We ate at Atwood on our trip to Chicago and were very impressed. Atwood is part of the Alise hotel so it was super convenient but also beautiful with fabulous food. The staff is professional and attentive but not annoying. We ate a leisurely dinner...More

This restaurant has a great location. I found the ambiance and decor to be very pleasant. We tried the focaccia as an appetizer and it was quite delightful. At only $6 it's the only item I would call reasonably priced. The area itself is expensive...More

Drawn to this restaurant, located in a boutique hotel right downtown. Nice welcome, lovely ambience and food was fine. Great service and prompt attention. Had parsnip soup with truffle oil followed by tasty salmon. Certainly a place to go back to and price point was...More

Ate at Atwood's before a play at the Oriental Theater. Shared the smoked trout, chicken livers, and filet. Everything was delicious. The service was great and we were out in time for our play.

We lived through the sad decline of the old Atwood Cafe, but thought we'd give the current iteration a chance. For the most part, we were very pleased. The surroundings are bright and open (unlike the former), the menu was extremely creative, service was excellent,...More

Everything we ordered was excellent. The coffee was fantastic (Intelligentsia). Biscuits and gravy are exceptionally good. Seriously, eat here for breakfast.

We enjoyed Sunday morning breakfast at the Atwood after our night at the Staypineapple. This your standard "nicer" restaurant at a "nice" hotel. That means you pay a bit "extra" than you would elsewhere. Luckily, the menu, at least for brunch, is pretty creative, so...More

While we stayed at the Alise for 4 nights in May, we dined at the Atwood several times and always had delicious meals. I appreciated that the menu varied a bit from day to day so recurring guests are not limited to the same small...More

This is a great place to drop into when walking around the loop. A bit hard to find the entrance (through the hotel). The burger and the salads were just right and the server (Molly) impeccable.

As to be expected from this type of restaurants, the prices were high, and the portions were *a bit* small. The dishes, however, were exceptionally good. My wife had the halibut which was perfectly cooked and reminded her of the great halibut she had in...More

I am almost positive that you will be looking at the brunch menu. Seems to me brunch is served until 2pm. You are right, though. Either menu will be very good. Enjoy!
