Grabbed dinner prior to heading off to the Chicago Theatre located nearby. While the service was outstanding the menu was extremely limited (6-7 entree items) and all rather pricey. My spouse had the zucchini pasta which had a great presentation but was more like an...More

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff was very attentive, but the food was fair. Not bad, but not great. Maybe my wife and I both chose poorly.

Managed to get a great outdoor table on a beautiful Saturday night. It's kind of a busy corner but great for people watching. Our server was terrific. Very attentive. We started out with the BBQ nuts. I was hoping for something just a little jazzier...More

I'm glad you loved your dinner. South Water Kitchen is lucky to have Chef Roger in the kitchen working with local farms for all of out dishes. We have a pretty great location next to the river. We hope to see you soon.

Had breakfast here one morning and the food was excellent! Potatoes and eggs were delicious and the price was very affordable for the amount of food.

A lot of folks have published amazing reviews on the South Water Kitchen - but for me lunch was okay. Nothing special, nothing memorable, just okay. I had the pulled pork sandwich with hand cut fries...portion was large, pork was good on the onion roll,...More

I am so glad you loved your breakfast. South Water Kitchen is in a perfect location adjacent to the Hotel Monaco. And an excellent spot for people watching, right by the Chicago River. We look forward to your next visit.

While the restaurant is open all day, we only ate breakfast here. It was excellent, with the offerings a little more exciting than your normal breakfast menu. Service was fast and courteous and the prices reasonable.
